The Study On The Correlation Between Interdisciplinary Background And Scientific Research Output Of Academic Master

With the demand for high-level interdisciplinary talents is becoming more and more intense.Interdisciplinary talent cultivation is an irresistible trend.With the expanding of interdisciplinary postgraduates,the interdisciplinary postgraduates with multi-disciplinary background has becoming a considerable special group in the postgraduate education.By using self-made questionnaire to investigate the current situation and the influencing factors of postgraduate research output,this study found that the interdisciplinary background is significantly correlated with the postgraduate research output in the postgraduate stage,but the non-interdisciplinary graduate students perform better,and the non-interdisciplinary graduate students' research output is significantly higher than that of the interdisciplinary postgraduates.It is worth noticing that the average research output of the interdisciplinary science postgraduates which are different from other disciplines is higher than that of non-interdisciplinary postgraduates.Compared with different gender,age,grade and span,it is found that the age has no significant influence on the research output of the interdisciplinary graduate students.In the output of academic works,there are significant differences among interdisciplinary students in different grades;The output of general journal articles and academic works of female interdisciplinary postgraduates is significantly higher than that of male interdisciplinary postgraduates.The postgraduate research output of non-interdisciplinary subjects is significantly higher than that of the postgraduates in interdisciplinary categories.According to the analysis of the influence factors of postgraduate research output found that: the higher and better psychological adjustment ability,knowledge base,the more solid foundation,active and creative thinking,the open,interdisciplinary application ability more strong,the perfect training mechanism of the students,the more scientific research output.However,the psychology recognition and professional foundation of interdisciplinary postgraduates are significantly lower than those of non-interdisciplinary students.The requirement of interdisciplinary application ability and training mechanism of interdisciplinary postgraduates is significantly higher than those of non-interdisciplinary students.The investigation of the in-depth factors which influence the research output of postgraduate by using the interviews and surveys found that the students' professional foundation is thin,and the basic remedy is narrow;low psychological recognition and lack of psychological counseling;the tutor's guidance is weak;the rigidity of the postgraduate entrance examination system;in the form of elective courses,students learn falsely to cope with;lack of targeted training programs.According to the conclusions based on the questionnaire and interview,I think the education of the graduate students should be encouraged to be interdisciplinary study in doctor's stage in order to improve scientific research ability of graduate students.And promote a limited interdisciplinary study at the master level.There should be different training plans for interdisciplinary postgraduates and non-interdisciplinary students.The art and the science graduate students should have different aimed training courses.We should focus on the talent selection process and seek the talents with scientific research potentials.Besides,we should pay more attention to cultivating the professional interests of the postgraduates and strengthen the psychological identity education.We should enhance the professional foundation of postgraduates through multiple ways.What's more,A compound tutorial system should be set up to keep the reasonable proportion between teachers and students.Finally,the training mechanism should be improved to intensify coordinated measures.
