Research Of The Professional Pressure Of SWAT And The Social Work Intervention

At present,China is in a period of rapid development with booming economic development and improving living standards.However in the meanwhile,our country's social contradictions are very sharp,especially the terrorist attacks happened in recent years,which make the overall security situation confronted with sever challenges.As a result,police officers now face a lot of work pressure.In order to deal with these serious cases,SWAT(Special Weapons And Tactics),also called special police,came into being.After more than 10 years of development,the construction of SWAT has gradually been enhanced and valued.However,due to the nature of the work and some other reasons,the professional pressure problem of the SWAT has emerged,which should be paid attention to.At present,there are few researches on the occupational stress of SWAT in academia and most related researches are only on the psychological problems of policemen.Therefore,this article tries to use the social work method,taking the special police in city Z as the research object,to study the special police's occupational pressure problem and hopefully could effectively alleviate the problem.The author's investigation and interview study found that the professional pressure of SWAT is not optimistic.The causes of professional pressure are manifold,including the nature of work,management system,salary and treatment,family and the team member themselves.Social work as a self-help professional and very effective in solving or relieving the professional pressure of Swat.Social work can be intervened from macroscopic level,meso level and microcosmic level.
