Educational equality is an important part of social justice and critical measure standard of social justice,gender equality is one of the important dimensions of starting equity,process equity and result equity.However,gender equality issue in education has long been marginalized,sexism and gender bias still exists in schooling in reality.Gender gap in the process of early childhood education which brings great influence to children’s development of gender role and gender cognition will limit children’s free and comprehensive development significantly.Therefore,in this study gender issue is introduced to early childhood education,entering classroom situation which is the main position of education activity.Through interview and 3 months of observation we tried to figure out how preschool teachers view gender difference,how to guarantee gender equality in teaching,and what’s the real situation of classroom they built.The problem of how to achieve gender equality in education process is still under constant debate.Teachers also hold different opinions towards how to perceive gender differences,education process should be the same or different to boys and girls,and what are the ideal images of them.Consequently,the opinions embody out concepts of gender neutral education which stress consistent pattern of treatment to children of both genders and gendered education which insists treat children differently on account of gender differences.Every sword has its two sides.Gender neutral education is helpful to eliminate gender bias in education,simultaneously gendered education helps to treat children as specific and lively person in stead of abstract entity.We need to integrate two concepts and introduce gender sensitive education.We could try to learn about and respect gender differences,put emphasis on children’s freedom of mind and choice,so as to improve both genders of children develop equal,joint and diverse development.
