The Research On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Primary School Students' Ability Of Science Experiments

Elementary school students' ability of science experiments occupies an important position in learning primary school science and it is one of the basic elements of scientific literacy,hence improving this kind of ability has great significances for students to develop their scientific literacy.However,primary students' ability of science experiments is less noticed by current educators and it is obviously that there are various problems in this area according to research findings of actual activities.Through methods of literature research and questionnaire survey and interview,this thesis randomly selects students and science teachers from three primary schools in Jinzhou to give research by analyzing related literatures.With interviews with some of teachers,it is found and summarized that many problems exist in primary students' ability of science experiments,including low conjecture and hypothesis ability,students' incomplete observations,weak ability in experimental operations and lacks of experimental innovation.The reasons which cause these existing problems such as insufficient revelations and demonstrations of conjecture and hypothesis,teachers' non-systematic observing instructions and inadequate operation training for students together with teachers' limited guidance in teaching innovations.On basis of it the thesis gives four followings: Design certain situation to build a platform of conjecture and hypothesis;Give comprehensive guidance to develop students' observing abilities;Enrich experiments to enhance operation training;Assign procedures flexibly to promote more progress of innovation ability.As strategies for improving students' ability of science experiment,these are proposed to furtherly refine it.
