With the rapid development of the Chinese economy,the income of residents and the number of students studying abroad has been increasing.Simultaneously,there is an unexpected growth in the number of students under the age of 18.In order to assist these students studying abroad,international academies are sprouting up just like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.These academies recruit overseas students as well as native students,and offer international courses as well as introduce overseas projects and advanced management methodologies.However,in the course of implementation,shortcomings occur,such as:the problem of student government management,imperfect class-selection systems,and so on,which lead to some students being unable to successfully study or adapt to living abroad.On this basis,the writer examined relevant research.However,the writer ascertained that most of the research focused on international environmental education,management of international students' higher education,and management of domestic high school students.The writer determined that issues relating to the management of students under 18 and studying abroad was less studied and discussed.Therefore,using the International Academy of Changsha Tongshenghu School as an example,the writer performed a deep analysis of the problems encountered with student management through observation and the long-term study of specific cases.The writer then proposes some solutions,aiming to provide a theoretical basis to improve management of Hunan international students,education.This paper contains five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,including the significance of the research,the research content,defining the core concepts and research methods.The second chapter describes the development of students' education and management in the International Academy of Changsha Tongshenghu Experimental School.The third chapter summarizes the current situation,including:the class-selection system,classroom teaching,student evaluation,and management of the students'extra-curricular activities.The fourth chapter analyzes the issues including imperfect the class-selection system,which causes students can not choose the subjects they want,and the backward student government management system,which leads to some students lacking initiatives.The fifth chapter proposes possible solutions to student government management and training a team of international teachers.This paper adopts a variety of research methods.The research materials were collected and analyzed through interviews and questionnaires.In addition,after consideration of the existing research material,the information gained from the literature research,and analyses of the cases,possible solutions have been set out that may address the existing problems,which are significant and directly related to the management of international students.
