The novel is deeply loved by high school students for its full storyline and vivid character image.The novel teaching is an important content in the whole Chinese language teaching.It enhances students' emotions,helps them understand and understand social life,and forms a correct outlook on life.Both values have an inestimable role.Selected novels of high school Chinese elective textbooks have extensive content and diverse styles.However,the current high school novel teaching often “makes students uninterested” and also presents “problem that teachers do not teach well,students do not learn well” and other issues.Why does this happen? The fundamental reason lies in the content of the novel teaching.There was a problem with the selection.This thesis investigates the status quo of the content of the novels selected in the high school elective courses.The author finds that the following problems exist in the selection of novel content: First,the lack of students' reading capacity,and the most attention in reading novels is still fiction.At the story level,we can't pay attention to the deeper content.Second,students like to read novels,but most students do not like the content of the novels that the teacher chooses.Third,teachers have a pattern in the selection of novel teaching content.And the tendency of routineization,the consciousness of classification of novels is relatively weak;Fourth,the teaching contents chosen by teachers are obsolete and cannot meet the needs of students' long-term development.In view of the current status of the selection of novel content in the elective courses of high school,the author proposes the following strategies: First,based on the curriculum standards,choose the basic content of the novel,teachers based on the objectives of the course and the corresponding group of learning tasks The teaching goal is to select the content of the novel;second,the teaching resources of the “formal layer”,“reproducing layer” and “presentation layer” in the teaching materials are tapped,and the teaching resources are transformed into suitable novel teaching contents;and third,based on the text itself,compulsory The teaching materials andthe original work are selected from the core content of novel teaching.Fourth,the student's learning situation is based on the physical and psychological development characteristics and individual differences of the students,and the appropriate novel teaching content is selected.
