Since the reform of the general high school curriculum,high school Chinese textbooks have been revised significantly,and foreign cultures have received attention in the latest curriculum standards.The selected foreign language selections of Chinese textbooks carry students’ knowledge of the literary culture of various countries in a certain extent.In the integration of multiple cultures,students’ aesthetic interests can be cultivated and promoted.This article considers the functional orientation of the literature selection of foreign literature in the textbooks,and attempts to compile the necessary foreign language selections for the “General High School Curriculum Standards Experiment Textbooks and Languages” required by the People’s Education Press from the perspective of the language curriculum.The purpose of the investigation is going to learn about whether the foreign literature selection of textbooks bears all the functions of the language curriculum requirements,and also investigate the presentation of the curriculum functions of the foreign literary texts in the textbooks when Chinese teacher during their teaching.So we can sum up this some experience and mistakes in the textbook selection of foreign literature which provides some references for the study and these textbooks.The research method of this paper: firstly,based on Wang Rongsheng’s classification theory of the selected text and the quantitative statistical method is used to analyze the types of foreign texts selected in the textbook and the functions they carry;then the questionnaire is used to investigate the teaching materials.The teaching application of Chinese and foreign literature in the Chinese language classroom;finally,a case analysis method was used to analyze the teaching design of teachers’ foreign literature selection.The main framework of this paper is as follows: The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly includes the introduction of the thesis theme,research purpose,significance and the literature review.The second chapter is based on the theoretical of the classification and function of Prof.Rongsheng Wang to analyze the type and course function of the work is carried out.The third chapter is the status quo investigation and problem analysis of the teaching application of the foreign works function in the teaching materials.The fourth chapter is to propose feasible suggestions and strategies for the problems.The result of the study is that the type of foreign literature in this set of textbooks is not balanced enough,and the function of the curriculum is not clear enough.The function of individual foreign literary texts in textbooks is misused in teaching.The research of this paper focuses on the combination of theory and practice,which hope the selected foreign works with explicit functions for the People’s Education Press textbooks and help to reform Chinese language education in high schools.
