School education is a significant way to infiltrate national ideology and core values.Undergraduates are the major force of constructing socialism in the future.Therefore,it is of great importance to provide them with scientific guidance of values.In many universities,value education is conducted mainly through ideological and political theory course,which receives a poor outcome.Thus,universities need to lay stress on the guiding function of professional teachers.Professional teachers take a dominant role in faculty.What they need to do is not only to impart knowledge or cultivate students' abilities,but also pay attention to value integration when educating.Professional teachers have a great advantage in instilling values.By combining value integration with knowledge teaching,they could impose values on students in an unconscious way.In an effort to nurture undergraduates into qualified socialist successors and builders,domestic professional teachers need to wave national ideology and socialism core values into knowledge teaching.Howe ver,domestic professional teachers produce very little effect in value integration in current stage.On the one hand,the methods that those teachers adopt are not feasible enough.On the other hand,the teachers are not fully capable of combining value with knowledge.Confronted with challenges brought by in-depth exchanges of different international cultures,it is necessary for professional teachers to improve their political accomplishment,to further combine value education with knowledge teaching and to actively guide undergraduates to make appropriate judgment of value and choices of value.This thesis consists of four parts.For the first part,it illustrates research background,literature review both at home and abroad,research framework,research methodology,research innovation and limitations.For the second part,it gives a general idea of the role of professional teachers in value integration in higher education.Definitions of professional teachers in higher education,knowledge teaching and value education are given in this part.Besides,the imparting knowledge of natural science and humanities and social science.In addition,the author reveals the characters of value integration in the process of knowledge education conducted by professional teachers and discusses the relationship between knowledge education and value education.For the third part,it identifies the reasons and the meaning that why professional teachers infiltrate value in the process of knowledge education.In this part,the author analyzes the reasons from two aspects which are respectively education of natural science and education of humanities and social science.Apart from this,the author explores the meaning of infiltrating value in knowledge education from the perspectives of teachers and students.For the fourth part,it explores problems existed in the process of implementing value integration in kno wledge education and possible approaches adopted by professional teachers.Based on current teaching forms and teaching contents of specialized courses,the author presents possible approaches and suggestions for value integration from the perspectives of professional teachers,teaching methods and higher education management.
