With the rapid development of economic globalization and world integration,the internationalization of higher education has attracted wide attention from all over the world.It is an important strategy to improve the internationalization of higher education by hiring foreign teachers for teaching and research.The Chinese government has attached more and more importance to the recruitment of foreign teachers,pay much more attention to employ foreign teachers,2010 Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)proposed that higher education should attract more world-class experts and scholars to engage in teaching,research and management work.As a result,the number of foreign teachers increased year by year and foreign teacher management came to be a big problem.It has aroused administrators and scholars' attention,The foreign teachers in higher education are an indispensable part of the teachers' ranks.However,the research of foreign teachers in higher education mainly focuses on the management of foreign teachers,the management of cross-cultural teaching and the analysis of work stress.The research on the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education has not yet entered the academic field.It is necessary to study the necessity,urgency and adequacy of the research on the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education,to sort out and solve the professional development and management of foreign teachers in higher education.It is of great practical significance to improve the professional development level and ability of foreign teachers,to improve the quality of teachers,to improve the quality of education and to maximize the employment efficiency.This paper focuses on empirical research and management strategies of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education,the use of human resources management theory,cross-cultural management theory and teacher professional development theory as the theoretical basis of this study.This study explores the realities of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education from the perspective of higher education management,and empirical research is an effective method of this study.On the basis of literature and basic theory research,this paper designs the empirical research tools such as interview survey,questionnaire survey,case study,and analyzes the empirical research results,the real status of professional development of foreign teachers in higher education from professional knowledge and professional ability,Professionalism,cross-cultural management and other aspects of different perspectives presented for the professional development of foreign teachers and management strategies to provide the most reliable basis.After analyzing the actual situation of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education,based on the interview materials of foreign teachers and managers of foreign teachers,the author analyzes the deep causes of the factors that influenced the professional development,and analyzes the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education.management measures put forward a solid foundation.The innovation of this research is mainly reflected in the following aspects:First,the topic of perspective is more innovative,the initial system of foreign teachers to explore the professional development and management of the problem,the literature analysis shows that there are few foreign teachers involved in professional development and management Research results.Secondly,it defines the core concepts that foreign teachers in higher education.Although some scholars have defined the professional development of teachers in higher education,there is no one to define the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education.Thirdly,the use of the method of literature,historical analysis,questionnaire survey,interview investigation and case study,the use of qualitative research and quantitative research,the combination of point and face,Research,comprehensive and systematic in-depth analysis of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education of the real state,reflecting the research method of innovation.Fourthly,it puts forward the countermeasures of professional development and management of foreign teachers in higher education.Through the empirical research on the realities of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education,it clarifies the problem of professional development of foreign teachers in higher education and analyzes the causes of the development of foreign teachers in higher education,which starts from the improvement of the professional development of foreign teachers in higher education.To establish foreign teachers in higher education teaching development center,to improve the professional development system of foreign teachers in higher education,to innovate the training mechanism of foreign teachers in higher education,and scientifically implement the management of foreign teachers in higher education so as to put forward the management countermeasures of professional development of foreign teachers in higher education.
