Textbooks are the most basic and important teaching materials in teaching activities.It is not only an important tool for teaching activities,but also imperceptibly affects the improvement of students' overall quality.Its importance is self-evident.In 2001,the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Outline for the Reform of Basic Education Curriculum(Trial)".Subsequently,under the guiding principle of " one Program and multiple-editions",the compilation of Chinese textbooks for primary schools in various regions presented a blossoming trend.The diversification of primary school language textbooks has injected new vitality into Chinese teaching in primary schools.However,due to the differences in the experience of textbook writers and the differences in interpretation of Chinese language curriculum standards,the quality of primary school language textbooks published by various publishing houses varies greatly,drawing criticism from different sectors of society for different versions of primary Chinese teaching textbooks.Against this backdrop,based on the 2011 edition of the "Chinese Curriculum standards for Compulsory Education,",the Ministry of Education has directly organized and compiled a new set of Chinese teaching textbooks—the Chinese teaching textbooks compiled by Ministry of Education(hereinafter referred to as The "MOE version").The Chinese teaching textbooks for the first-grade books have been put into trials in the second half of 2016 and the first half of 2017 respectively.The Chinese teaching textbooks for the second grade will also be put into use in the second half of 2017 and the first half of 2018.As the Chinese teaching textbooks compiled by the People's Education Press(hereinafter referred to as The "PEP version")is the most representative primary school Chinese teaching textbook before The" MOE version " is put into use.In addition,the publishers of "The MOE version" and The "PEP version" are all People's Education Press,and the core authoring department of The "MOE version" is the same as that of The"PEP version".It is still the primary Chinese editing room of the People's Education Press.Many people directly referred to The "MOE version" as a "new PEP version".Indeed,there are many similarities between these two versions of the primary school language textbooks.But,in fact,The "MOE version" incorporates many new compiling concepts and compiling features compared to "The PEP version".Therefore,this study intends to conduct a comparative study of these two versions of primary Chinese teaching textbooks.The main contents of this study include the following three aspects:the history of the compilation of the People's Education Press Edition of primary Chinese teaching textbooks since the founding of New China;the comparison and analysis of the compilation concepts of The "MOE version" and The "PEP version";The comparison and analysis of the arrangement structure of The "MOE version" and the "PEP version".On this basis,the following conclusions are drawn:The "PEP version" focuses on the subject;the "MOE version" pays more attention to the student's psychology;the "PEP version" releases the declarative knowledge;The procedural knowledge is highly regarded in the "MOE version";both the "PEP version" and the "MOE version" focus on the balance between the unique ability and the common ability of Chinese language;The"MOE version" puts more emphasis on the educational function of textbooks than the"PEP version";theme content of the unit of "the MOE version" is closer to the students'lives.Based on this,the following suggestions for improvement are given:the structure of Chinese teaching textbooks is in tune with the students' psychology;primary Chinese textbooks need to continue to increase the weight of procedural knowledge;primary Chinese teaching textbooks should continue to maintain a balance between the unique ability and the common ability of Chinese language;primary Chinese teaching textbooks should focus on the educational function;the micro formal structure of Chinese teaching textbooks should focus on both functional and aesthetic.
