With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,the demand for talents in the society keep growing,Talent resources become the core of social progress and development,and the key to win in competitions.As a major place for talents cultivation,universities can cultivate excellent talents,which largely reflects the level of university education and quality.Since China putted forward the "talents cultivation model" in the 1980 s,various kinds of reforms had carried out,and different patterns had emerged,but the quality of talents training was unsatisfactory.Yunnan university,as a comprehensive university in the border area,has proposed the idea of " Based on Frontiers,Serving Yunnan and Developing Features " since the 1990 s.On the basis,how to make use of the unique location advantage,cultivating what kind of people and how to cultivate them become important parts of the talents cultivation reforms in school.At present,Yunnan University has entered the rank of "double first-class" construction,how to cultivate "first-class" students has become a great challenge for school.Based on this,this study revolves around the reform of the undergraduate talents cultivation model of Yunnan University for the past three decades.Firstly,based on history and use time as a clue in the longitudinal direction to explore the course of change in the talents cultivation model of the university over the past 30 years: From 1984 to 1995,the model reformed from “specialist” training to “combined talents” training;From 1996 to 2005,the model reformed around quality education;From 2006 to 2017,diversified talents training models centered on innovation ideas,and including Four National Talents Training Models Innovation Experimental Areas.In addition to this,analyzing the training objectives,curriculum settings and teaching practice under each model.Secondly,through text analysis and interviews,it has been found that the talents cultivation has got some achievements: models of talents training have gradually changed from single to pluralism,the credit system has gradually improved,the curriculum system has been enriched,and the first class and second class has become more and more closely.However,there are some disadvantages worth discussing.Such as content of the reform are not comprehensive,even repeated;the period of reforms cycle became shorter and shorter;the top-down reforms lack the participation of teachers,so teachers' awareness can not be expressed clearly.Finally,in response to the problems found in the research,the thesis discusses the reform of the university's future undergraduate talents cultivating model.
