This article analyzes the requirements of art appreciating education in the era of core literacy,combined with the art curriculum standards of ordinary high school,to re-understand the role and significance of high school art appreciation courses.It also analyzes the value of contemporary art works as high school art appreciation courses,reveals the characteristics of contemporary art works that are different from other art forms,and explores the value of aesthetic education in contemporary art,the value of innovative thinking,and the value of moral education.Cultivating the Role of High School Students' Aesthetic Literacy.Among them,the second part of this article illustrates that the high school stage is an important stage of high school students' aesthetic cultivation and the aesthetic requirements and aesthetic characteristics of high school students in this period through the laws of development of aesthetic psychological development and the law of art development,and expounding contemporary art in comparison with other art forms.It is more suitable as a content for high school students appreciation courses and as a carrier for cultivating high school students' aesthetic qualities.In addition,through the analysis of some outstanding teaching cases and techniques,we will find some teaching methods that are conducive to the commencement of contemporary art appreciation courses to improve teaching effectiveness.The third part mainly revolves around the design and development of contemporary art appreciation courses.Based on the theoretical analysis of the first half of the thesis and analysis of learners,the third part focuses on how contemporary art is involved in high school students' art appreciation classes by combining teaching practice with related majors.Teacher's advice to improve instructional design.In the fourth part,questionnaires,competency tests,and interviews were conducted on high school students who studied,and these data and texts were analyzed to demonstrate the role of contemporary art appreciation in cultivating high school students' aesthetic qualities.
