The New Curriculum Reform is being carried out in China,which requires changing the way students learn.Cultivating their self-regulated learning ability is one of the goals of the New Curriculum Reform.The study of self-regulated learning is not only the need to meet the reform of education curriculum in China,but also an important topic of education research in the world today.Junior middle school is an important transition period for students from primary school to high school,and it is also a period of rapid especially about physical and mental development.Due to the great changes in the physiology,psychology and learning contents of junior middle school students,their learning style must be changed.On the other hand,in spite of the increase of education investment in rural areas in recent years,the educational conditions and teachers' level of rural schools have improved greatly.However,compared with similar schools in cities,there is still a large gap.The independent study of junior middle school students in rural areas has not formed a habit,and the second is lack of self-study methods,which leads to the relatively poor self-regulated learning ability of junior middle school students in rural areas.This not only causes the students who hope to change their destiny through the study to lose their competitive advantage,but also brings the obstacles to the career development of the students entering the society after graduation from junior middle school.Visibly,improving the rural junior middle school students self-regulated learning ability,developing their good self-study habits,to grasp the methods of self-study,and develop the potential learning,for the future to continue learning and career development to build the foundation,has the significance of self-evident.This paper studies the status quo of self-regulated learning ability of junior middle school students in Hubei province by means of literature,questionnaire,interview and statistics.The sample survey found that the school of the current situation of students'self-regulated learning ability is not optimistic,the students' self-regulated learning consciousness is not high,the lack of self-efficacy and scientific self-evaluation,no ability to adopt effective learning strategies,and the lack of self-regulated learning time and opportunity,etc.All these lead to their low self-learning ability.At the same time,through interviews,the author further found that the rural schools in improve the junior middle school students' self-regulated learning ability of education policy and management measures,there are a lot of problems such as insufficient recognition of subjectively and objectively and inadequate guidance.They don't have deep understanding,it is good to improve the rural junior middle school students and the rural school education quality of teaching,and can greatly promote the rural teachers'professional development.As the main place for junior middle school students to study,the school should shoulder the main responsibility to improve their self-regulated learning ability.This paper discusses the effective strategies for improving the self-regulated learning ability of junior middle school students in rural areas from the three levels of students,classes and schools.At the student level,it is mainly to stimulate the self-regulated learning motivation,optimize the self-regulated learning strategies and develop their self-evaluation;At the class level,the focus is on self-regulated learning efficient classroom,including the teacher prepares a lesson carefully,dig deeper into the teaching contents and optimizing classroom teaching modes,set the advantage rules of self-regulated learning,cultivate the students' interest in initiative to explore the problems and humanized management class,etc.;At the school level,the key is to build self-regulated learning culture to mobilize all forces education,radical transformation of the mode of education evaluation and actively encourage teachers to reform the teaching and organizing various self-regulated learning experience sharing,etc.
