The Chinese curriculum is a unity of "instrumentality" and "humanism"."Instrumentality" emphasizes the mastery of subject knowledge and skills, while"humanism" emphasizes ideological and emotional. In response to the current phenomenon of "Attach great importance to intelligence and less to emotion" in Chinese language teaching in senior high schools, the country proposed a strategic concept of"quality education"."emotional education" was also put on the agenda, but at the same time,in the current high school Chinese language teaching, teachers often ignore or deliberately evade the teaching of love themes, not only can not meet the physical and mental development needs of students, resulting in students can not correctly deal with emotional problems, but also greatly reduce the literary value of love themes. In 2017,the state promulgated the "Standards for Ordinary High School Chinese Language Curriculum" and proposed the concept of "Chinese Key Competences" to promote students’ all-round development. It also provided a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the teaching of emotional education and love works. This article will analyze the love theme works in the high school Chinese teaching materials of the People’s Education Press and combine the educational requirements of the "Chinese Key Competences" with three aspects:"should or should not teach" "what to teach" and "how to teach".Exploring the significance and strategies of high school students’ love education teaching, aims to implement the requirements of the national curriculum reform, help students establish a healthy concept of love, and understand the meaning of love works more profoundly.
