Competence studies have flourished since the early 1970s in the United States,it refers to the individuals who distinguish the high performer from the general performance,and the potential more persistent behavior characteristics.Based on the competence research of primary school principals,the limitations of previous studies have been overcome in the research methods,and the key ability factors that truly support the performance of primary school principals can be revealed.Since competence theory was introduced into the domestic,many scholars in the field of education research,has made a lot of research results,these results mostly stay in the regional primary school principal competence model building,but the actual effect to improve the regional primary school principals competence is limited,this thesis introduced the present primary school principal competence situation of Muping District,based on the domestic and foreign research results about the primary school principal competence and related theory,has carried out the following research:In the aspect of theoretical research,the thesis firstly introduced the generation and development of competence theory,and summarized the research results of the competence model of primary school principals in education field both from domestic and abroad,especially focus and analysis the promotion results from the relevant domestic primary school principal competence research;The concepts of competence,primary school principal and primary school principal competence were clearly explained and defined,on the basis of the promotion strategy framework of primary school principal competence of Muping District,and draw lessons from the experience of learning circle theory and the theory of goal setting and other theoretical basis.In the aspect of empirical research,the first is to evaluate the competence demand of primary school principal of Muping District,mainly using the behavioral event interview,working analysis and expert group interview;the second is to combine the problems encountered in the process of promoting the competence of primary school principal of Muping District,solicit opinions widely and conduct the sorting and summarization,analyze the causes of the problems in depth;the third is to introduce and expound the domestic and foreign cases of the promotion of primary school principal competence,and to analyze the relevant empirical practices' experience.Based on the above theoretical research and empirical research,finally construct the primary school principal competence promotion strategy of Muping District,mainly includes three dimensions,first it is the primary school principal competence promotion strategy leaded by the education administration level;second it is the primary school principal competence promotion strategy among the primary school principals level,third it is the primary school principal competence promotion strategy based on individual level.In addition,specific ideas and framework suggestions are proposed for different levels of primary school principal competence promotion strategy.The conclusion of this study,to perfect regional primary school principal professional development evaluation theory and guide the regional primary school principal selection,training and assessment,has important theoretical significance and application value.
