As core members of peer psychological consulting members,psychological committee members are main undertakers of peer psychological consulting work in schools and play an important role in school psychological health education.Therefore,psychological committee members do not only need general personal abilities but also have practical abilities for specific professional consulting work,they need grasp relevant knowledge and skills to guide their work and also need the ability to transfer knowledge and skills for growing professional ability.The study summarized those abilities as peer psychological consulting ability.Former studies mainly investigated systems,selection,training and competency of psychological committee members,but seldom concerned their peer psychological consulting ability,and there was a shortage of practical study.Thus,the study selected psychological committee members from five schools in Yunnan as research objects,and investigated the current situation of peer psychological consulting ability of psychological committee members in colleges and its influencing factors through compiling the peer psychological consulting ability questionnaire of psychological members in colleges.Study 1 investigated the factor structure of peer psychological consulting ability of psychological committee member in colleges so as to provide practical basis to form the formal questionnaire in study 2.With the semi-structured interview with 14 excellent psychological committee members and open-ended questionnaire survey made by 90 psychological committee members,10 psychological assistant members and 3 teachers from psychological center,author preliminarily established the peer psychological consulting ability structure which included 9 elements,includes interpersonal skill,listening ability,observation ability,empathy ability,analytical ability,coping capacity,ability to concern actively,self-control ability and the ability to acquire professional knowledge.Study 2 compiled the peer psychological counseling ability questionnaire of psychological committee members in colleges.First,it tested 172 psychological committee members with preliminary questionnaire,and formed the second testing questionnaire according to project analysis and questionnaire modification.Then,it investigated 1,050 psychological committee members and divided data randomly into two groups with basically similar homogeny and quantity for factor analysis.Results of the exploratory factor analysis indicated that the peer psychological consultingability of psychological members in colleges showed a 1-stage 9-factor structure,and the accumulated explaining rate was 51.503%.Moreover,results of the confirmatory factor analysis indicated that various model fitting indexes met requirements of psychometrics.Meanwhile,regardless of low stability of recognition ability dimension,Cronbach ? coefficient of other dimensions was above 0.65,and the total coefficient value of the questionnaire reached to 0.943.Study 3 adopted the peer psychological counseling ability questionnaire of psychological committee members in colleges to investigate general conditions of peer psychological consulting ability of psychological committee members,tested differences between different groups on the basis of different demographic variables,and further explored its influencing factors.To sum up,the study mainly reached the following conclusions:(1)The peer psychological consulting ability of psychological members in colleges shows a 1-stage 9-factor structure,including,interpersonal skill,listening ability,observation ability,empathy ability,analytical ability,coping capacity,ability to concern actively,self-control ability and the ability to acquire professional knowledge.(2)The compiled questionnaire has favorable psychometrics indexes,and it is proper to be used as the measuring tool for peer psychological consulting ability of psychological members in colleges.(3)Peer psychological counseling ability of psychological committee members in colleges and universities is favorable in general,but it also should be further improved.Meanwhile,ranking of scores of the 9 dimensions is grasp of professional knowledge<observation ability<recognition ability< interpersonal skill<self-control ability<listening ability< empathy ability< ability to concern actively.(4)Peer psychological consulting ability of psychological members in colleges does not have significant differences in gender,working duration and reason for holding the post but in homeplace,only child or not,participate theory and skill training,and psychological work.To be more specific,scores of psychological members from cities or towns are higher than that from rural areas;scores of only child were higher than that of non-only child;scores of psychological members who once participated in theory and skill training were higher than that did not;and scores of psychological members who carried out psychological activities in class are higher than that did not.
