The dissertation applies the narrative inquiring approach to explore how an individual constructed her meaning of life through a single case.The data was collected through 7 times in-depth interviews(total 750 minutes).Chapter 3 is a narration of the heroine's natural growth experience before she started her narrative exploring of life.Chapter 4 tells the stories of her narrative learning and actions.Chapter 5 involves a discussion of life themes and various ways of narrative learning.The life themes include “deserving to be loved”,“self-identification” and ‘facing authority'.The ways of narrative learning includes metaphor,free writing,letter writing,lifeline drawing,reading club,narration workshop,interviewing,the social media,etc.The conclusion chapter focuses on how the heroine constructs her meaning of life through two approaches.On one hand,her own observation and reflection of her life help her discover various themes of life,which faciliates her psychological development.On the other hand,through her experience from everyday life,she constructs her meaning of family,social relationships and career.Meanwhile,the chapter also concludes the way through which the heroine constructs her meaning of life,namely narrative learning,which engages cognition,emotions,belief,and actions,and involves the pursuing of truth,virtues,and aesthetics.
