With the development of economy and technology,the profound change of social life,the transformation of social contradictions and the new requirements of enhancing the national quality and talent cultivation,it seems that scientific knowledge and technological application are becoming more and more important.Scientific popularization is a kind of activity that introduces scientific knowledge of nature and society,popularizes the application of scientific technology,advocates scientific method,spreads scientific ideology and carries forward scientific spirits.In the phase of senior high school,popular science article in the textbook is the carrier of scientific popularization.Teaching popular science article effectively in senior high school is a significant approach to cultivate and improve the scientific quality of students.The research object of the thesis was the teaching of popular science article in senior high school.Case study,documentary method and interviewing method were adopted in the current study.In order to better examine the teaching of popular science article in senior high school,the author collected,organized and analyzed relevant cases about the teaching of popular science article through investigation and data collection.The thesis is divided into three parts including introduction,body of text and conclusion.The part of introduction presented the background of the study including theoretical and practical background,the status quo and analysis of the teaching of popular science article in senior high school,significance of the study and research methodology.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter was the introduction of definition,characteristics and teaching value of popular science article.The second chapter introduced basic theoretical foundation of popular science article teaching in senior high school,including the theory of educational objectives taxonomy of Bloom and the method of student analysis.The third chapter presented the research results of the study.It summarized the universal problems that existed in popular science article teaching of senior high school from the perspectives of teaching objectives,teaching contents and teaching procedures.The problems are as follows: the design and description of teaching objectives and defining of popular science article were inaccurate;the choice of teaching contents was oversimplified,which ignored the uniqueness of popular science article and was not consistent with students' condition;the lead-in of teaching procedures was stereotyped and the process tended to be conclusive.On the basis of the above analysis and results,the fourth chapter was the reflection of teaching strategies of popular science article.On the one hand,three-dimension teaching objectives should be understood correctly,and the design of teaching objectives should be based on teaching curriculum,textbook,text and students' condition in order to solve problem of the design of teaching objectives.On the other hand,teachers should base themselves upon the teaching curriculum,material and student analysis,and strengthen the stylistic awareness and master the teaching orientation explicitly in order to solve problem of the choice of teaching content.Finally,the lead-in of popular science article teaching should be associated with students' real life experience and students' thinking development should be used to promote teaching procedures.In the fifth chapter,the author designed the teaching of two popular science articles-The Mystery of Animal Games and The Characteristics of Chinese Building,which would be instructive for popular science article teaching of senior high school.The conclusion summarized the major findings of the thesis,and put forward the importance of studying popular science article and proposed the forecast to the future research.
