"Activity is the source of wisdom,and wisdom begins with activity," says Piaget,a psychologist at education in Switzerland.As a comprehensive subject of children's science enlightening education,it contains physics,chemistry,astronomy,geography and more than 180 knowledge points,the content is easy to understand yet hard to teach and it cannot meet the students' demand.The completed science class should include classroom teaching,homework and extracurricular activities.In the class,teacher should find moral educational material to train students' enthusiasm,and make scientific knowledge to be delivered effectively as well as let the student get good habit of scientific study.Out of the class,developing science extracurricular activities can arouse students' curiosity and creativity,cultivate their cooperative and practical ability.It is necessary to extend classroom teaching to extracurricular activities,it's a supplementary form for students to master the scientific knowledge and to improve the effective of class.the Ministry of Education compiled the "Science Curriculum Standards of Primary School " points out: " Learning science should be a process for students to participate actively,Science curricula must be based on meeting the needs of students' development,and providing various scientific activities that students can directly participate in." Only in this way,can "post-study research" of scientific learning be doable,and students can put more focus on activities which can improve their own scientific qualities.This thesis takes the science of extracurricular activities in a primary school in Chongqing as research target.Based on academic reference some of the literature,the method of observing method,investigating method,interviewing method and comparing method and applied to study the the current situation of extracurricular activities.Major findings are summarized as follows:1)In general,the students are fond of science extracurricular activities,but the schools don't pay enough recognition and attention about it,2)The scientific facilities at school are not relatively perfect,it is difficult to carry out the due to the lack of the few of science teachers and large amount of class hours,3)most of the students' parents have a high knowledge background,they are willing to offer a lot of help to support the development of extracurricular activities.4)There are many schools that have a significant advantage in science extracurricular activities in Chongqing,they can be good examples of case study.Based on the content of this study,the author analyzes the current situation of extracurricular activities from three aspects as fellow,the school,the family and the society.Then,the author puts forward the corresponding strategies that can improve the implementation of the school's extracurricular activities,and provide some reference for the case studies in primary schools.
