Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform,new changes have taken place in curriculum concepts,teaching concepts,and concepts of teachers and students.The concept of teaching materials advocated by the new curriculum has gradually replaced traditional teaching materials.The new curriculum reform requires teachers to change the traditional concept of education and teaching.Because the contents and forms of teaching materials have changed,the way of using the teaching materials must also change accordingly.It is necessary to transition from "based on teaching materials" to "understand teaching materials." The people who use textbooks are mainly teachers and students.The textbooks are not only the basis for teachers to teach,but also the resources for students to learn.Therefore,innovative use of textbooks has become the only way for every teacher.Although teaching materials are the main carrier of teaching activities,the teaching materials are not perfect.Although the existing teaching materials have changed the past that is knowledge-based and places too much emphasis on the status quo of routinism knowledge.However,some problems are unavoidable in the teaching materials.For example,some of the cases selected in the teaching materials are already outdated;some experimental and activity settings in the teaching materials do not take into account actual teaching situations;and there are occasionally inaccuracies in the definition of the concepts in the teaching materials.Problems such as errors may occur.In this case,teachers need to make reasonable "secondary development" of the teaching materials in order to achieve the best teaching effect.This thesis takes the new curriculum as a background and analyzes the "secondary development" of geography textbooks both at home and abroad.Based on this,it explores the methods,principles,and procedures for the "secondary development" of geography textbooks.As an example,a "secondary development" of the People Education Press edition of the geography compulsory one was carried out.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,mainly introduces the research background,purpose and significance of this paper.The status quo of "secondary development" of geography textbooks at home and abroad was introduced,and research methods and ideas were elaborated.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the "secondary development" of the teaching materials.It mainly includes Bruner’s structuralist teaching theory,Piaget’s cognitive development theory and Ausubel’s meaning learning theory.It provides theoretical support for this article.The third chapter is an analysis of the teacher’s questionnaire about the "secondary development" of the compulsory teaching materials of the People Education Press.From the teacher’s understanding of the "secondary development" of the teaching materials as well as the practical aspects,it analyzes the existing problems.The fourth chapter is the principle,process and method of "secondary development" of geographical teaching materials.The fifth chapter is the core part of the article.After comparing and analyzing the compulsory teaching materials of the People Education Press and other versions of textbooks,the paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the teaching materials required for the teaching of a textbook,and then the compulsory version of the textbook.Practical Exploration of "Secondary Development" of Geography Teaching Materials.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this article.It is a reflection and summary of this article.
