Under the new curriculum standards,the educational purpose of high school art courses is to let students form aesthetic interest and ability to appreciate art works throughout observing,describing and analyzing art works,fine art phenomena and nature.Through perceptual intuition,ideal thinking,and motivational education,teachers simplified and integrated some abstract art theories and artistic knowledge in Chinese and Western art works,enabling students to understand,recognize,and comprehend the connotation and value of fine art works,and obtain spiritual satisfaction.Situational pedagogy is one of the most commonly used methods in art appreciation teaching.In this kind of pedagogy,teachers create specific,visual,and sensible learning atmospheres for students to stimulate their interest in learning.Based on the High School Art Appreciation Course,this article applies the Situational Pedagogy approach to the High School Art Appreciation Class.Through the background and design set up of activities related to the teaching objectives,students are gradually helped to improve their aesthetic value and humanistic qualities,and students are trained to observe and experience excellent cultural situations,students are also guided to pay attention to the relationship between art and society.This article contains a total of six parts,the first chapter includes the research background,research significance and purpose,research methods and literature review to discuss,to pave the way for the whole article.The second chapter elaborates the theoretical foundation of situational pedagogy and its application in classroom teaching under the new curriculum reform.The third chapter discusses the general high school art curriculum standards and the teaching experience of high school art appreciation classrooms.This includes an analysis of the normative nature and basic concepts of ordinary high school art about fine arts courses,expounding the direction and purpose of high school art appreciation courses,and analyzing the new trends in high school art appreciation courses presented in the new curriculum standards.The fourth chapter gives a brief introduction to the significance of appliance of the the situational pedagogy method in high school art appreciation classes.The fifth chapter analyzes and summarizes the principles and strategies for the creation of situations in high school art appreciation teaching and the principles and strategies of high school art appreciation teaching according to the high school art materials(Hunan Edition).The sixth chapter is an analysis of teaching cases.Through the appreciation of the art works of "Image and Eyes" in the "Art Appreciation" part of the art education materials used in Hunan,the teaching of high school art appreciation is summarized and reflected.
