Research ObjectiveThe objective of the research is to explore the affects of martial art on college students mental health and academic pressure through the study of the college students' mental health level,psychological stress source,and academic stress situation.Through the research of present situation of sports and martial arts,the research further proposes corresponding countermeasures and measures on how to improves the level and quality of college martial art,further explores whether martial art can be used as an effective way to relieve psychological pressure on college students,and provides theoretical basis and countermeasures for improving the study of college students' physical and mental health.Research MethodUsing the status of college students' sports status questionnaire,psychological stress questionnaire,symptom checklist(SCL-90)and academic stress scale as research tool and literature methods,questionnaire survey methods,statistical analysis methods,college students are divided into martial art group and general sports group according to whether to participate in martial art in order to comparatively analyzes the impact of martial art on college students' psychological health.Research results1.The mental health status of college students(1)general mental health statusAccording to the results of the SCL-90 survey,the total score of SCL-90 is 128.13± 31.85.The lowest score is 90,and the highest score is 296.The positive detection standard of mental health: any one factor greater than or equal to 2,greater than or equal to 3 and the total score is greater than or equal to 160 to determine the mental health problems of students.148 students were found to have mental health problems,and the detection rate was 18.41%.With greater than or equal to 2 as thedetection standards,compulsion is in the first place among the factors of the SCL-90 Survey.The number of positive cases is 248,and the detection rate is 30.85%.The others in descending order are: anxiety,depression,other,paranoid,hostile,psychosis,somatization,and terror.With greater than or equal to 3 as the detection standards compulsion is in the first place among the factors of the SCL-90 survey.The number of positive cases is 24 and the detection rate is 2.99%.The others in descending order are:interpersonal relationships,paranoia,depressive somatization,anxiety,psychosis,and other factors.2.the analysis of the influence of martial art on college students' mental healthMartial art group SCL-90 score greater than or equal to the positive rate of 160 is significantly lower than the general sports group,and there is a statistical significance(P<0.001).The positive rate of the factor score of the martial art group greater than or equal to 2 is significantly lower than the general sports group,and there is a statistical significance(P<0.001).Martial arts can obviously promote the mental health of students.When the martial arts exercise group exercises moderately,the positive rate of the SCL-90 total score greater than or equal to 160 and the factor score is greater than or equal to 2 is low.When the exercise volume is too small and too large,the positive rate is high.3.The source of psychological stress of college studentsThe sources of psychological stress of college students are: learning problems(77.2%),personal development(76.0%),interpersonal communication(69.7%),economic problems(63.3%),school life,emotional problems,family problems and health problems.Learning problems are their biggest psychological stress.4.The influence of the martial arts on the academic stress of college studentsThe total average score of the academic task scale in the general sports group is 86.49±13.47.The total average score of the tension response scale is 62.08±15.14.The total average score of the coping resource scale is 75.42±12.20.The total average score of the academic task scale of the martial arts group is 64.56±13.57.The total average score of the tension response scale is 41.01±11.22.The total average score of the coping resource scale is 65.08±17.94.The total average score of the martial arts group is obviously lower than that of the general sports group,and there is a significant difference between the martial arts group and the general sports group(P<0.01).The martial arts group takes the mental pressure as the dependent variable,and takes the academic task and the various sub items of the coping resources as the independent variable to carry out multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.The main factors affecting the psychological tension are task discomfort,task conflict and self care in descending order(The beta values are 0.879,0.534,-0.153 respectively).In descending order,the main factors affecting the students' physical tension are task discomfort,the sense of responsibility,the task conflict and the self adjustment(The beta values are 0.451,0.226,0.222,-0.068 respectively).5.The present status of college students participating in sports(1)the present status of general sports84.2% of the college students in the survey hold a positive attitude towards sports;The sports that college students usually take part in are basketball,running,martial art,table tennis,badminton,and swimming.The top three reasons that students do physical are to enhance physical fitness,body shape and psychological adjustment.(2)the present status of the martial artsMost college students in the survey participate in martial arts for hobbies,cultural deposits and relieving stress.The most participating projects are Tai Chi,boxing,swordsmanship.Male and female students had significant differences in selecting boxing and scattered items(P<0.05);Male and female students were highly significant in selecting Tai Chi,swordsmanship,swords,and sticks(P<0.01).Chinese boxing,and art of fencing.73.0% of the college students take much time to exercise every time and 40.3% of college students do large amount of exercise each time.The college students with a low weekly rate of exercise account for 46.7% of the total.Research Conclusion1.According to the results of SCL-90 scale,the prevalence rate of abnormal mental health of college students is 18.28%.The main symptoms are compulsion,interpersonal relationship,anxiety and depression.2.Compared with general sports,martial arts sports can significantly promote the mental health of college students.The positive rate of the martial art group is low when the amount of exercise is moderate.To a certain extent,it can be explained that proper amount of martial arts sports is conducive to improve the mental health of college students.3.The largest psychological stress of college students is from learning problems,personal development,interpersonal communication,and economic problems.4.In comparison with general sports,martial arts can obviously relieve more learning stress of the college students.The main factors that affect the psychological stress of students are learning task discomfort and task conflict.The effective self health care and self-regulation can relieve students' psychological stress effectively.5.College students do physical exercise in order to enhance physical fitness,shape their body and regulate psychological adjustment.The selection of sports is diversified.6.Most college students in the survey participate in martial arts for hobbies,cultural deposits and relieving stress.Most students participate in sports for longer periods of time.They participate in a large amount of exercise,but their weekly exercise frequency is low.
