Rural-urban migration is one of the most important demographic phenomena that has happened since the reform and development of China.Migrant workers in China are beginning to differentiate. The younger generation and the older generation of migrant workers have distinct characteristics in both thinking patterns and behavior patterns due to different growing backgrounds. The new generation of migrant workers has a high level of education, and hence high career expectations but low work tolerance. However, the development of China's labor market is not yet mature, the equality in market-oriented labor relations have not yet been completed, and the social factors such as pension, industrial injury, medical insurance and other social factors are not perfect. Therefore, the new generation of migrant workers is in an unstable employment state, which will hinder the urbanization and even affect the economic and social development. Therefore it is of great practical significance to improve the employability of the new generation of migrant workers.Taking the new generation of migrant workers in Qian'an city as the main research object, this paper studies the role of the new generation migrant workers from the perspective of vocational education to improve their employability. This paper introduces the relevant research and theories at home and abroad, then uses questionnaires and interview to examine the current situation of the new generation migrant workers in Qian'an City, and analyzes the mechanism of vocational education to improve employment ability deeply. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions to promote the employment ability of new generation migrant workers are provided.
