"The rich,the poor,and finally the old people." Under the social trend of increasing aging,the universities of the aged as an important position for the development of aged education,its social function has been more than leisure and entertainment.The curriculum is an important factor in achieving the goals of a university of the aged.As the youngest municipality directly under the Central Government,Chongqing's urban pattern of “big cities and large rural areas” is the epitome of China's overall development.The empirical analysis of the curriculum of universities of the aged in Chongqing has certain representativeness.Based on the above reasons,this paper studies the problems and optimization strategies of universities of the aged in Chongqing curriculum provision.This research mainly uses interviews and literature research methods.First of all,based on the previous studies,this paper discusses the basis of the curriculum provision of universities of the aged,and finds that the curriculum based on individual and social basis.Based on the two major foundations of the universities of the aged curriculum and related policy requirements,this paper believes that the curriculum should include six courses,which are ideological and moral courses,science and culture courses,health and fitness courses,leisure art courses,economic courses and life education courses.Then,after collecting the relevant materials of the nine universities of the aged courses in Chongqing,I found that there are three imbalances in the curriculum: first,the curriculum is out of balance,lack of ideological and moral education courses,economic courses,the life curriculum;second,the internal imbalance of the curriculum,mainly including the internal imbalance of the health and fitness curriculum;third,the curriculum between different schools is quite different.Finally,this paper analyzes the reasons for the curriculum provision of universities of the aged in Chongqing from the four aspects: background,teachers,funds and policies.And putting forward direct and indirect optimization suggestions on these basis.For example,integrating the three levels of individual,social,and policy;adding economic courses to improve the property management ability of the elderly;fostering and introducing a two-pronged approach to builds a high-quality team about universities of the aged teachers;increasing the funds to universities of the aged from government and private investment.
