As an extension of classroom teaching,extracurricular homework is now an integral part of teaching activities.A carefully designed homework is not only the consolidation of classroom knowledge and skills,but also the stimulation of students' interest in learning,the improvement of learning ability and the formation of comprehensive accomplishment.The same is true for Chinese language homework.The Chinese knowledge and skills taught in the classroom should be internalized into the students'own Chinese ability and form the students' individual Chinese literacy.It is far from enough to merely rely on the teaching activities of teachers and students'learning in the classroom.The author is working in Erling High School which is located in a relatively remote town.The academic quality of the students is quiet poor.According to this characteristic,our school has put forward the idea of"three-purpose education" and carried out some reforms in teaching based on it.These reforms are mainly in the classroom teaching and have also achieved some effects.But the part of homework has barely changed.Although students are given homework every day,little noticeable progress has been made on the formation and improvement of students' Chinese language ability.How to make the homework in the Chinese language paid attention to and play its due role?In order to find the answer,the authored investigated the current situation of the Chinese teaching in this school and has found out many problems.Meanwhile the author studied some researches on homework generally and on Chinese homework in particular to be familiar with others' researching results in the same field.On the basis of this,this paper analyzes the causes of these problems in our school and try to find out the strategy to solve them.The paper has four parts altogether.The first chapter is the introduction:raise the question and introduce the origin of the research;summarize the domestic and foreign situation of research on homework and elaborate on the purpose,significance,scope and method of the study.The second chapter is the basis and significance of the Chinese homework in senior high school.This chapter mainly introduces the theoretical basis and practical basis of the implementation of Chinese homework in senior high school and the significance of the implementation of the Chinese homework in high school.The third chapter is the investigation of the present situation of the Chinese homework in Erling High School.The first section introduces the basic situation of the respondents.The second section is the data and analyses.Through this,the advantages of Chinese homework implementation in Erling High School are found We also find out that the quality of the homework design'is not high,the completion of homework is poor,and the process of homework evaluation and reform is not perfect enough,and many other problems are also found in the implementation of the Chinese homework in Erling High School.The causes of the problem are also analyzed.The fourth chapter,aiming at the problems and reasons in the previous chapter,puts forward the optimization strategy,designs the Chinese homework scientifically and rationally,strengthens the supervision of the completion process of the Chinese homework,and improves Chinese homework correction measures,according to the facts of our school and optimize the Chinese homework evaluation and reform process and other aspects.
