Since the implementation of reform and opening up,China's economy has achieved rapid development, and the people's living standards and quality of life have been greatly improved. However, while the urban outlook continues to improve, some people fall into poverty due to various reasons and rely on government subsidies to maintain their daily lives. This group is known as "subsistence allowances." Their children are the research objects of this article-children from low-income families.Due to participation in the C project in Yuhang District,I visited a large number of needy families and found that children from subsistence allowance families are easily affected by family poverty and external labeling, and they are very likely to have irrational cognitions, interpersonal communication barriers, low self-recognition,etc.The lack of self-confidence is especially obvious. In this context,in order to enhance the self-confidence of children in urban subsistence allowances families, this article starts from the perspective of social work practice, adopts the growth group method, and uses questionnaires and interviews to collect the actual situation of the service objects to transform the intervention goal into self-confidence enhancement.Several of the ability indicators are: the ability to correctly understand oneself, the ability to self-affirm and express, the ability to interact and communicate, the ability to face difficulties and pressure, and the ability to change independently and positively.Based on cognitive behavior theory and superior perspective, the group activity design is carried out,and the entire practical intervention process of the growth group is divided into: group member recruitment, service target problem diagnosis and needs assessment, group plan formulation, group plan implementation and observation,As well as the evaluation and reflection of intervention actions, six group activities were carried out.In the early stage of service development, through the interview method and observation method, the problems and needs of the service objects are diagnosed, and accurate data required for service plan design is collected;relying on professional theories and the real needs of the service objects,self-confidence is quantified as specific intervention indicators. On this basis, design a targeted group activity plan;after the group is over, evaluate the changes of the group members, the design of the activity process, the performance of social work and the use of theory, and compare the effectiveness of the group through the scale before and after the test, using the questionnaire method Collect the satisfaction of service objects and parents with this group activity. Finally, based on the effectiveness of the activities and existing research, the following conclusions are drawn: The growth group has a significant effect on improving the self-confidence of children in urban subsistence families, but the group intervention still has a single service method, insufficient depth of influence, and lack of experience in staff.Insufficient professional skills, narrow scope of services, and insufficient follow-up follow-up.
