According to the high school ideological and Political Curriculum Standards issued by the Ministry of Education,the basic idea of the high school ideological and political curriculum is to "pay attention to the combination of Ideological and political direction guidance and the characteristics of students’ growth stage,and build a life-based curriculum module supported by subject knowledge".Situational teaching method plays an active role in improving students’ interest in learning high school ideological and political courses,enhancing students’ understanding and application of high school ideological and political knowledge,promoting the transformation of students’ knowledge,belief and behavior,and enhancing teachers’ theoretical literacy and teaching ability.However,in the actual high school ideological and political teaching,there are many problems in the application of situational teaching method,which often leads to the teaching effect of high school ideological and political teaching greatly discounted.This paper investigates and studies the application of situational teaching method in Ideological and political teaching in senior high schools,sorts out problems,analyses reasons,and puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions,hoping to provide some reference for front-line teachers.Through questionnaires and interviews,this paper makes a thorough investigation on the application of situational teaching method in the ideological and political course of No.8 Middle School in Jiangjin.It is found that there are some problems in the application of situational teaching method in the ideological and political course of high school,such as the shortcomings of school management,the inadequate ability of teachers to create,and the low degree of students’ participation in the teaching situation.The reasons for the problems in the application of situational teaching method in high school ideological and political course can be summed up in three aspects: school,teachers and students.On the school level,the school evaluation mechanism is imperfect and lacks incentives;on the teacher level,teachers’ teaching ideas are backward and their professional abilities are slightly deficient;on the student level,students’ perception of high school ideological and political lessons is biased.In view of the existing problems and reasons,this paper puts forward some countermeasures for the effective application of situational teaching method in high school ideological and political lessons.The school takes active measures to promote the implementation of situational teaching method.The school strengthens teacher training,improves school evaluation mechanism,and establishes high school ideological and political curriculum resource bank.Teachers should set up new teaching ideas and improve the ability of creating teaching situations.Students should change their concepts,expand information sources,cultivate interest in learning,actively participate in situational teaching activities,and grasp the opportunities for exercise.
