With the further promoting of new curriculum reform,the profound changes have taken place in people’s understanding on the nature of course and class teaching.The traditional teaching mode of “learning by teaching” no longer meets the requirements of modern teaching principles.Thus how to establish an effective class teaching model,which is student-oriented,leaning-oriented and student development-oriented,has become the problems to be solved urgently.As to the flipped classroom,it refers to a model that students watch the prerecorded micro-video for the preliminary learning,and teachers and students explore knowledge cooperatively in the class.This model changes the traditional teacher-centered teaching model into student-centered teaching model,which is in line with the development requirements of the new curriculum reform.This research introduces the flipped class model into the high school geography class,expecting to be helpful to the effectiveness of teaching practice,promoting the all-round,independent and individual development of students,cultivating the key competence of students and providing a new direction for the geography teaching in Senior High School.Taking geography teaching practice in the two senior two classes of Xinyang First Senior High School as an examples,this research will use the method of literature review,questionnaire and comprehensive research to analyze the teaching efficiency of the two classes,discuss the effectiveness of the flipped geography teaching practice.Main Contents:(1)On the basis of the previous studies,defining the concept of flipped classroom and the effective teaching by reading relevant literature from home and abroad.And the theories like Constructivism,Zone of Proximal Development,Humanism and Multiple Intelligence are applied in this paper.(2)By means of questionnaire survey,the learning and teaching informations of the two senior two classes of Xinyang First Senior High School are obtained,and the preliminary analysis of geography flipped class teaching are made.With this basis,the flipped teaching practice of the experimental class and the traditional teaching practice of the ordinary class are carried out,and the implementation process can be illustrated by citing the typical cases.(3)Analyzing the two classes teaching practice comparatively.Combing the results of the questionnaire and the comparative data of the two classes,this paper discusses the effectiveness of the flipped geography class teaching practice in senior high school from the aspects of effect and efficiency of learning.The conclusion is as follows: compared with the traditional teaching model,the flipped classroom model can improve the effectiveness of geography teaching in senior high school,and has greater advantages in enhancing students’ learning interests,learning capacity and core quality of geography.(4)Problems and Countermeasures.In the light of the problems existed in the flipped class,the strategies for improving effective teaching are as follow: 1)accelerating the small-class teaching;2)improving students’ initiative and self-confidence;3)optimizing group learning;4)improving the professional quality of teachers.
