Objective:By investigating the employment status and mental health level of the "new unemployed group" of college students in Guangxi,this paper explores the causes and influencing factors of the unemployment of College students,and understands their mental health status during job hunting.Based on the actual situation,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the employment of college students and alleviate the mental health problems of College graduates,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical basis for solving the problems related to the "new unemployed group" of College students.Methods: This study used the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to study the current situation and mental health status of "new unemployed group" of college students in Guangxi.(1)Using the method of literature research,this paper combs the relevant theoretical research on the "new unemployed group" of college students at home and abroad.(2)By means of questionnaire survey,this paper investigates the current situation of "new unemployed group" and mental health of college students in Guangxi.Because of the particularity of the subjects in this study,there are problems of high difficulty in connection and low degree of cooperation.In this study,60 questionnaires of "New Unemployed Groups" of Guangxi University Students and 60 questionnaires of Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)were issued,and 60 of them were recovered.(3)By means of semi-structured interviews,interviews were conducted with the selected managers of employment guidance and the "new unemployed group" of College students.Understand the main problems existing in the employment of College students,the existing security measures of schools,governments and relevant institutions,and understand the employment psychology of the "new unemployed group" of college students and the reasons for unemployment.(4)Data analysis is carried out by means of mathematical statistical analysis.Descriptive statistical method was used to analyze the basic personal information of the respondents,including gender,nationality,residence location,family income and other information.The questionnaire data were analyzed by SPSS and Excel software.The measurement data were expressed by mean±standard deviation(±s)and the counting data were expressed by percentage.Data were analyzed by t-test,variance analysis and chi-square test.Results:(1)In the survey on the current situation of "new unemployed group" of College Students,63.33% of the respondents were interested in firsttier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai or open cities along the eastern coast.The main factors for career choice are personal hobbies,development prospects and the place where the other half works.63.33% of people think that the employment prospects are confused,21.76% of people feel pressure and not optimistic.The main channels for students to obtain employment information are campus recruitment and introduction of relatives and friends.The overall satisfaction with school employment guidance is low,71.67% of the respondents expressed general satisfaction,28.33% of the respondents expressed dissatisfaction.Students have a very low level of understanding of the national unemployment policy for college students.(2)In the survey of mental health status of college students “new unemployed group”,the positive symptom detection rate of the study subjects was 37%,and the distribution and severity of SCL-90 factor scores were similar,with the mean value between 1.24-1.74.No significant peaks were found.The highest factor scores are “obsessive symptoms”,“depression”,and “interpersonal sensitivity”.The positive rate of “forced symptoms” was the highest(30%),with more males than females(P<0.05)and more rural households than non-rural households(P<0.05).The scores of "obsessive-compulsive symptoms" and "depression" factors in males were higher than those in females(P < 0.05);the scores of "somatization","obsessive-compulsive symptoms","interpersonal sensitivity","depression","anxiety" and "psychosis" factors in rural household graduates were higher than those in non-rural household graduates(P < 0.05);the scores of "hostility" factors in ethnic minorities were higher than those in Han nationality(P < 0.05).(3)In the interview survey of university employment guidance managers,it is found that the popularity of employment guidance education in universities is high but not deep enough,the reasons for University graduates' unemployment are complex,the responsibility of supervision after graduation is not clear,and the guidance of college students to grassroots employment is in a dilemma.In the interview and investigation of the "new unemployed group" of College students,it is found that they have insufficient understanding of the employment situation,high employment expectations,and worry and uneasiness when they fail to find a job.Conclusion: According to the results of the study,it is found that the employment concept of the "new unemployed group" of college students is unreasonable,the employment expectation does not match the market demand,and the comprehensive quality of individuals can not support their employment expectation.This group is prone to psychological problems such as compulsion,depression and sensitive interpersonal relationship in the process of unemployment;Colleges and Universities lack of Professional Employment Guidance Teachers;the responsibility of the unemployed population of university graduates is unreasonable;college students have a low level of understanding of unemployment policy;subject professional settings do not match market needs.Suggestions:(1)Create a good institutional environment and guide college students to change their employment concept;(2)Improve the comprehensive quality of college students and enhance their employment skills;(3)Improve the mental health education system and enhance the psychological adjustment ability of College students;(4)Establish a professional management team of employment guidance and improve the level of employment guidance in Colleges and universities;(5)Establish and improve the feedback supervision mechanism for college students' employment;(6)Establish and improve the relevant systems of employment promotion and unemployment security for college students;(7)Strengthen the government's macro-control efforts and improve the matching degree between disciplines and market demand;(8)Strengthen the supervision of the employment market and ensure the fairness of the employment market.
