In order to ease the conflict between the urgent requirements for the creation of geography teaching situations in the new round of curriculum reforms and the slow development of theoretical research and teaching practice concerning the creation of geography teaching situations in senior high school,the thesis applies literature data method,questionnaire survey method,test paper analysis method and observation method.What's more,the conflict is studied in detail under the guidance of situational cognition and learning theory,constructivism theory and effective teaching theory.The thesis tries hard to define the geography teaching situation and other related concepts.The thesis also makes an attempt on categorizing the geography teaching situation under the guidance of the activity theory.The research mode of the inquiry geography teaching situation is the focus based upon relevant bases.In the process of creating the model,a questionnaire survey is conducted firstly on the current situation of inquiry geography teaching situation creation.Through such a survey,the achievements and existing problems of current inquiry geography teaching situation creation are discovered.Then the position of geography teaching situation in geography teaching is analyzed and explored.After that,the basic principles and strategies for the creation of inquiry geography teaching situations is built.Finally,combining with the teaching case of"the impact of mountains on traffic and transportation",the basic procedure for the creation of inquiry geography teaching situation is constructed.The thesis makes a further discussion on the concept and classification of the geography teaching situation in senior high school.The thesis also gives enough thought to the creation mode of the inquiry geography teaching situation.Through such a thesis,the author hopes to provide some references for the optimization of the geography teaching situation in high school under the background of the new curriculum reform.
