The sequence is not only important content in high school mathematics,but also playing a Important role in the college entrance examination.In the unit of sequence,including many types of problems.which makes it difficult for students to learn.In order to guide students to solve problems by themselves.The research is focused on the analysis of the following three aspects.First,the criteria for good sequence problems and methods for selecting examples.Second,methods for compiling pattern-modification problem.Third,teaching strategy of explaining to examples and exercises.This essay adopts the literature research method,classroom observation method and interview method.Firstly,the criteria for choosing good sequence examples are determined by reading the references and interviewing teachers.Secondly,the author research on sequence problems of college entrance examination in the past six years and unit exercises of the four edition of textbooks.In view of the above,basic type of problem and basic solutions are derived.According to the criteria for good problems,flexible application of sequence properties,varied structure of arithmetic sequence and geometrical sequence,with many solutions and so on,the author choose examples,compile several groups of pattern-modification problems,compile mind map,and complete teaching design.Finally,teaching design and mind map are adjusted by suggestions of teachers and reaction of students in weak school.The author draws the conclusions from the research above as followings:firstly,the four criteria for good examples are the following points:1.belonging to basic type of problem;2.Including basic solutions;3.With more than one solution;4.Being able to modify its pattern.Secondly,the author decides five basic types of problem:1.Getting basic amount of sequence;2.Acquiring sequences general term;3.Acquiring the sum of the first N terms of sequence;4.Application of properties of sequence;5.Proof and decision of sequence.Thirdly,solutions are based on formula method,elimination method,definition method and supplemented by properties of sequence,undetermined coefficient method,construction method.Fourthly,basic quantity method and negation-hypothesis method are used to compile pattern-modification problems.Finally,strategies for explaining examples take advantage of mind map and several groups of pattern-modification problems.
