| College counselors are the nucleus of student management in colleges and universities.The ideological and political education,psychological education,employment guidance and daily life of college students can not be away from the guidance and help of counselors.The work ability and level of counselors directly affect the construction of the college and the growth of students.With the popularization of higher education in our country,more and more young students will receive higher education.Counselors are the first life instructors of students in school,so it is very urgent and important to train a contingent of ideological and political experts with excellent ideological and political qualities.In order to improve the quality of education and strengthen the management level,performance appraisal has been introduced into the management system of many colleges and universities.At present,the performance appraisal of professional teachers in our country adopts workload and performance as evaluation index.However,due to the particularity of work object and content,the data collection and index of counselors are more extensive and complicated than that of teachers.The assessment of college teachers can not accurately measure and judge the work of counselors,therefore,it is urgent to establish a set of scientific and efficient assessment system aimed at the characteristics of counselors’ work.Firstly,the basic concepts of performance appraisal and the relevant assessment methods are expounded in this study,which provides theoretical guidance for the further study.Secondly,based on the methods of interview,questionnaire,literature research,case study and so on,combined with the current situation of M college counselors’performance evaluation,the paper analyzes the problems and reasons.Third,draw lessons from the experience and model of performance appraisal in domestic colleges and universities,put forward the corresponding evaluation system countermeasures to improve the performance appraisal system of counselors in higher vocational colleges.The purpose of this study is to propose a more perfect assessment process by investigating the performance appraisal of M colleges and universities. |
