Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Specialty Construction In Newly-built Local Application-oriented Undergraduate Universities

Since the beginning of the 21 st century,China's higher education has gradually changed from elitist education to popular education,resulting in the birth of many new local universities,The model of talent training has also been transformed from academic to application-oriented.The newly established local application-oriented universities have become an important part of China's higher education system and have undertaken the important task of serving regional economic and social development.In this context,the transformation and development of newly-built local application-oriented universities has become an important part of China's higher education reform,while the reform and transformation of traditional Specialty construction have become the focus and difficulty of the reform of local universities.This paper takes Z uiversity in zhangjiakou as the research object.Through interviews and questionnaires,it conducts an in-depth analysis of the current situation of Specialty construction in newly-built local application-oriented universities and finds out the existing problems.For example specialty setting emphasizes planning rather than implementation,and the orientation of talent training objectives is inaccurate;the allocation of school hours in theory and practice is unreasonable;There is a lack of double-qualified teachers,a lack of practical experience,and the weakness of off-campus training bases,etc.Through the above analysis,combined with professional characteristics,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the transformation of specialty construction,such as developing characteristic specialty,strengthening practical teaching,attracting excellent teachers,strengthening the support of scientific research team construction,building excellent scientific research team,constructing high-quality off-campus practical training and practical teaching base,etc.,It is hoped that it can play a certain role in promoting and drawing lessons from the transformation and development of specialty construction of newly-built local applied undergraduate colleges and universities in China.
