A Study On The Motivation Of Engineering College Student Volunteers

At the present stage,China is at the critical stage of the "two centenary goals".As the report of the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China indicated,it is necessary to promote the construction of good faith and the institutionalization of voluntary service,and strengthen the consciousness of social responsibility,rules and dedication.This is a specific requirement for the development of Chinese volunteer service and the construction of volunteer teams in new era.College student volunteers should assume the responsibility of serving the youth volunteers in the new era for the construction of modern socialist country that is prosperous,strong,democratic,culturally advanced and harmonious.In recent two decades development,the volunteer service of college students at FJ University of Technology is not limited to being carried out on campus,but also has gone out of school to serve the society and won a superior social reputation.College student volunteers have superior level of knowledge,capability and professional skills,and have become an important part of the volunteer team.FJ University of Technology's student volunteers play an important role in promoting the construction of spiritual civilization and public service in the region.Athough it achieved a higher level of performance,the incentive policies and mechanisms for the enthusiasm of college students for volunteering volunteer work are still immature.In this paper,in accordance with the "searching issues-analysising issues-solving issues" logical train of thought,it will investigate volunteer incentive issues involed in engineering college students by using general motivation theory and Potter-Lawler comprehensive motivation model.In the first part,the paper introduces the research background and research significance,sorts out the existing domestic and foreign related research theories,briefly introduces the research content and methods,and constructs the research ideas and technology roadmap of this study.In the second part,it defines and interprets the four important concepts and connotations of college student volunteers,voluntary service,motivation and incentive mechanism of college student volunteers,and expounds the theoretical basis support of this study,which mainly includes general motivation theory and Potter-Lawler comprehensive motivation model.In the third part,through the questionnaire survey and interview investigation of the students and teachers of FJ University of Technology,we summarize the characteristics of engineering college students volunteers,and carried out the motivation of volunteering service for engineering college students,combined with the present enthusiasm of the volunteers of the engineering college students,from five aspects: the incentive policy,volunteer motivation demand,incentive effect and motivate the degree of satisfaction as well as the volunteer organization and management to summarizes existing problems at present stage.In the fourth part,according to the idea of Potter-Lawler comprehensive incentive model,a comprehensive incentive model of volunteer service mechanism for engineering university volunteers is constructed,and the model is tested and optimized.In final,according to the construction of model and actual issues,this paper propose from four aspects of philosophy,environment,system and management.
