In this paper,literature,questionnaire,expert interviews,case analysis and mathematical statistics are used to study the risk and prevention of swimming competitions in public waters.The following conclusions are drawn:1 According to the characteristics of swimmers in public waters and the particularity of participating environment in public waters,the common risks in public waters swimming competitions can be divided into three categories: the natural environment of the competition area(including weather,water environment,terrestrial environment),the organization of the events(including doctors and doctors,the qualifications and quantity of technical personnel,and the pre-competition planning.The reasons for the participants themselves(including: health status,pre-competition mentality,pre-competition preparation,personal characteristics);2 Through the study of the risks brought by the natural environment of the competition area in the mass open water swimming competitions,we know that:(1)thunder,hail,wind,rain and fog have a greater impact on the competition.(2)Vortex,undercurrent,velocity,tide,wave,obstacle,water temperature,aquatic organism and water quality have great influence on the competition.(3)The risk brought by the environment around the land has little impact on the competition.3 Through the study of the risk brought by the event organization in the mass open water swimming competition,we know that:(1)the quality of lifeboat,medical equipment and lifebuoy has a greater impact on the competition in the risk brought by the lifesaving and medical treatment.(2)Among the risks brought by qualifications and numbers of technicians,safety prosecutors,ship pilots and inspectors have a greater impact on the competition.(3)The total number of events,the propaganda of safety matters,the number of departures per group,the distance of competition,the end buffer and the departure interval of each group have great influence on the competition in the risk of Pre-competition planning.4 Through the study of the risk brought by the participants themselves in the mass open water swimming contest,we know that:(1)the health status of the participants brings risks such as cerebral thrombosis,hypoglycemia,heart disease,hypertension,asthma,diabetes and so on.(2)Tension,agitation and eagerness to win have a great influence on the contestants' pre-competition mentality.(3)The unfamiliar venues and the unwarm-up before the race have great influence on the risk brought by the participants' preparation before the race.(4)Among the risks brought by the participants' personal characteristics,alcoholism,swimming skills,age over 60,habit of not eating breakfast,staying up late aged51-60,and years of swimming have a greater impact on the competition.5 Through the study of common risks and precautions in mass open water swimming competitions,this paper formulates a table for evaluating the natural environment of the competition area in mass open water swimming competitions and proposals on common risk levels and precautionary measures of competition organization,which can guide the risk prevention work of the competitions.
