The Yangtze River Economic Zone spans three major zones: east, west, central and western. There are obvious differences in population Semi-urbanization among different zones, provinces and cities in different spatial scales.Discussing the development of population Semi-urbanization at different scales of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, analyzing the spatial and temporal differences of population Semi-urbanization rate at different scales, and studying the main influencing factors of population Semi-urbanization rate are helpful to solve the problem of population Semi-urbanization in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, optimize the regional layout of urbanization in the Yangtze River Economic Zone and improve the quality of new urbanization. On the basis of combing the existing research and related theories of Semi-urbanization at home and abroad, this paper analyses the overall characteristics of population Semi-urbanization rate at different scales of the Yangtze River Economic Zone on the basis of the data of population Semi-urbanization rate at the overall, upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, using coefficient of variation, scale variance, exploratory spatial data analysis and dynamics. With the help of Arc GIS 10.2 and Geoda software, panel data model and other methods, this paper explores the heterogeneity and evolution of population Semi-urbanization rate at different spatial scales in the Yangtze River Economic Zone since 2005,and reveals the influencing factors of population Semi-urbanization rate in the Yangtze River Economic Zone since 2005.The results show that: from 2005 to 2014,the population Semi-urbanization rate of the Yangtze River Economic Belt as a whole is always higher than the average level of China, and the decreasing trend of the annual average growth rate is not obvious;the population Semi-urbanization of the three major sectors of the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows a significant trend of reduction and convergence;the population Semi-urbanization rate of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has obvious spatial differences and weak spatial correlation. There is a pattern of transformation from low-level spatial type to medium-level spatial type, but the gap is narrowing;the spatial difference of population Semi-urbanization rate in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is the largest, and the spatial correlation is significantly enhanced, showing a pattern of transformation from medium-level spatial type to medium-level spatial type, but the gap is also narrowing. The Semi-urbanization rate of population in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is mainly affected by the level of economic development, industrial structure, economic openness, financial affordability, social services, housing prices and income gap between urban and rural areas, but it has no significant relationship with the level of population aggregation, and there are different performances among the plates. On this basis,it is suggested that the economic belt of the Yangtze River should further accelerate the optimization of industrial structure to promote the transformation of the mode of economic development, properly increase financial expenditure on housing, medical treatment and social security to further improve the public service system, comprehensively strengthen the management of housing demand to control the excessive rise of housing prices, actively expand the opening of service trade to create a new economic growth.Engine, constantly improve farmers' awareness of entering cities and significantly enhance farmers' ability to melt cities to promote the gradual solution of population Semi-urbanization in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
