Considering Chinese writing competence in Thailand,being ignored in most cases compared to listening and speaking,the writer conducts a teaching experiment for Chinese-starters in Mongkholwittaya School.The writer teach Chinese characters including the form,the sound and the meaning,from primary to secondary level.Collect students' classwork by scanning and make error analysis.And collect students and teachers' questionnaire and analyse.By analyzing teachers',introduce Chinese teaching situation in Thailand,the teaching materials,students' Chinese proficiency,how often students have class,the teaching order,some error samples and exercise modes,etc.By analyzing students',get a conclusion that some are interested in writing but they know few about it,lack of time,attention and exercise.There do exist some problems in writing,and writing urgently needs to be improved.The writing errors are in totally different patterns,the writer divide it into three main errors,stroke order errors,stroke errors and construction errors.When we can induce the error types and find the reasons may cause the errors,we can take some reasonable measures directed against these errors to prevent and correct.According to students' level and teaching conditions,take different teaching methods and teaching strategies.Direct and vivid pictures help students understand the meaning and memorize the form.Flash show how each stroke writes,stroke order and stroke direction again and again.Inducing component impresses the understanding of components.There are millions of teaching methods,we need to find suitable for students and teachers in accordance with the concrete situation.There is no definite law in teaching.
