Writing and Reading are the two main parts of Chinese teaching in junior high school.Besides,the Writing is outstanding among these difficult parts in the teaching of Chinese curriculum.The Writing is not only a way to transfer students’ feelings into language but also a very important bridge which connects them and teachers.But it has been a long time that teachers are afraid of teaching writing and students feel headache when it comes to composition.As a result of that,composition writing teaching has not made great breakthrough.Here comes a good chance that the textbook gets its revolution and update.So,I want to take this chance.In this paper,the writing parts of the MEP Edition textbook is picked out as the object of study.And this paper will explore writing teaching from such aspects: theoretical foundation,current requirement,actual teaching status,and so on.In the first chapter of this paper,the related definitions and features are introduced and analyzed.When trying to explore the topic “composition teaching method exploring with the MEP Edition of Junior High School”,there is a base concept named activity.After the activity and activity-based teaching are both introduced,activity-based composition teaching method is followed.It means that this paper has cut in its main topic.In this phase,activity-based composition teaching is taking as a dynamic and practical teaching.In the following section,features of activity-based composition teaching in junior high school,practicality,initiative situation and comprehensiveness,are summarized.Here it goes deeper and sets up the foundation of this paper.In the second chapter,firstly,this paper explains the theoretical foundation from three aspects: curriculum theory foundation,psychology foundation and linguistics foundation.The curriculum theory foundation requires students to be a volunteer in setting up a way to learn.The psychology foundation asks teachers to pay more attention on students,take more time to teach what to write and to use the way students like in class.The linguistics foundation suggests applying language more while writing.These three theoretical foundations supply base for activity-based composition writing.Then,on the base of these theories,this paper proves the possibility to apply activity-based composition teaching.Finally,this paper explores the necessity of implementing activity-style writing teaching in junior high school edition from two perspectives,New Curriculum Standard and Chinese Core Accomplishment and how it paves the way to meet their requirements.Then it comes to the key part of this paper,chapter three and chapter four.The third chapter will compare and analysis the composition teaching content for junior high school with two editions,the MEP edition and the PEP edition.Thus we can get it cleared that the change of teaching theories and teaching content between this two editions,which lays a foundation for summarizing the activity-based composition teaching method.In the fourth chapter,this paper tries to give out a detailed teaching method and teaching evaluation based on current junior high school teaching status.In addition,these will be well adapted to actual teaching content.Regarding the using of actual teaching example,teaching experience and students’ input in this chapter,this paper tries best to combine the theory with practice,as a result of which,it will be fully targeted and applicable.
