In recent years,with the development of economy,talent has become an important demand for national development.Our country encourages us to explore STEAM education and cultivate the compound talents with STEAM literacy and international competitive advantage.STEAM education originated in the United States and it aims to cultivate students' STEAM literacy.It contains scientific literacy,technical literacy,engineering literacy,humanistic and artistic literacy,mathematical literacy,hands-on ability,innovation ability of solving the problem,and the ability to apply interdisciplinary approach to solve practical problems.Therefore,the exploration of STEAM teaching mode has a positive significance for cultivating students' STEAM comprehensive literacy,improving students' learning interest in STEAM knowledge,and training students' ability to apply interdisciplinary approach to solve practical problems.Firstly,this paper analyzes the project-based design theory of subject curriculum.It analyzes from three dimensions.Respectively,the analysis of the subject curriculum project-based,the content analysis of the United States STEAM curriculum,and the learner analysis,which we can draw the experience that can offer us a useful reference;the characteristics of project-based curriculum has four aspects in summarize,namely,the cross-integration of different subject knowledge,the learning from the drive of problems or tasks,to rely mainly on the exploratory learning,and to solve and complete tasks according to the way of group cooperative learning;integrating the above experience and characteristics,to construct the knowledge system of the primary school curriculum with taking science and mathematics as the core.Secondly,on basis of understanding the research status for domestic and foreign scholars on the STEAM teaching mode in primary schools,attempting to take the reconstructed thought of the subject curriculum project-based as the instruction,and analyzing the cognitive ability of the first grade and the second grade students in primary school.Then,let STEAM teaching concept and subject curriculum deeply integrated,and construct three kinds of STEAM teaching modes in primary schools,respectively,"doubt-verification" teaching mode,"problem-inquiry" teaching mode,"product-creation" teaching mode,and to state the characteristics of the three teaching modes.Thirdly,basing on the STEAM teaching modes and teaching design,the teaching experiment is carried out.The main purpose of the experiment is to verify whether the three teaching models can improve students' STEAM literacy and improve students' interest in science,technology,engineering,humanities,arts and mathematics.Lastly,according to the investigation and interview of the students and their parents who taking part in the teaching experiment,and the self-report of the experimental teachers,it is concluded that: the three teaching models can not only enhance students' interest in learning the related knowledge of STEAM,but also help them to improve the problem-solving ability.Students' can use the related knowledge of STEAM to solve practical problems in life,and their innovative and learning ability,cooperative and communicative skills,hands-on practice skills has improved at the same time.
