In the last few years, the school bullying phenomenon has become more and more serious, which has caused widespread concern in China's society. For this problem, although many scholars have done research from different aspects, there are few practical studies on social work. With the professional value principle of “helping others and self-helping”,social work stands for helping the client solve problems through professional methods and techniques, and improve their ability to play their social functions normally. As an applied social discipline, the professional concepts and perspectives of social work provide a new way for doing research on school bullying phenomenon. Therefore, through the case study of social work to address the inferiority problem of the victims,we are able to reduce the negative impact of school bullying, and thus accumulate enough experience for the practice of school bullying. In the research, the author used direct observation method and semi-structure interview method to collect and analyze data.By means of observations, interviews, and scales to diagnose and assess problems,it is found that the victim has an unreasonable emotional problem such as inferiority due to being bullied. Therefore, based on the above issue, the author has developed a specific plan for intervention in research objects. This case intervention uses rational emotional therapy from three perspectives: the cognitive adjustment, behavioral training, and emotional expression, and provides informal social support to the client in the intervention so as to form a comprehensive service system.Specifically, the first is to carry out cognitive adjustment by understanding the theory and cognitive changes, and to change the irrational emotion of the client; Then through self-emotional management,we conduct behavioral training and try to amend the behavior of the victim;finally,we help the victim to change the inferiority complex through scenario simulation to promote the emotional expression of the client. The whole study consists of three phases. The first phase is the needs assessment and service design of the client;the second phase is the case intervention of the client;the third phase is the evaluation of the intervention process and its effect.Through the intervention of the above three phases, the cognitive, behavior and emotions of the client have been significantly changed, offering a valuable reference for related research in the future. We can conclude that the case work is necessary for the relief of the inferiority of the client and it is also effective for the rational emotional therapy intervention of the client. However, there are some limits and our research is not perfect,we hope to make up for it in next research.
