University graduates are an important part of all kinds of talents required for social development.The choice of employment location will directly affect the flow of talents and regional development.This study starts from the status quo of college students' employment choices and social hot spots,and finds out that college students are having difficulties in choosing to stay in big cities.The reasons behind this situation are worth our exploration and analysis.For foreign students who are studying at Shanghai universities,whether they choose to stay in Shanghai after graduation is an unavoidable issue.This study takes college graduates from Shanghai as the research object to study their willingness to stay in Shanghai and their influencing factors.While enriching the relevant research results,it helps to provide a rational reference for graduates to make a choice for reserving Shanghai,and provides employment for colleges and universities.Guidance provides direction,which will help improve the employment situation of college students and optimize the allocation of human resources.First,based on the analysis of the previous research results on the employment will of college graduates,this study combines the labor market segmentation theory,human capital investment income theory,and social capital theory to determine the main influencing factors affecting Shanghai college graduates' willingness to stay in Shanghai: Individuals Factors,family factors,and regional factors influence theresearch hypothesis.Secondly,through the pre-survey and analysis of the reliability and validity of the questionnaires,the surveys were revised and improved and formal investigations were conducted.Then,descriptive statistics,cross-analysis,correlation analysis,and multiple logistic regression analysis were used to statistically analyze the data of formal investigations,and the effects of various factors on the willingness to stay in Shanghai were thoroughly studied.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: Currently Shanghai college graduates who are not Shanghai nationals still have a strong desire to stay in Shanghai;individual factors,family factors,and regional factors all have a significant impact on Shanghai college graduates' willingness to stay in Shanghai;among them,individuals factors are the main influencing factors,family factors and regional factors are secondary influencing factors;personal factors are mainly the individual's human capital level,influences on Shanghai's preferences,and career orientation,and family factors are mainly influenced by parents' wishes.Finally,this study puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the four aspects of the individual employment planning and capital accumulation of college students,the orientation and employment guidance of school personnel,the employment conditions of employers,and the employment environment optimized by the government.
