At present,the "double first-class"construction work is another major national strategy in the field of higher education in China.Many universities across the country are fully committed to the goal of building world-class universities and world-class disciplines.As one of the important components of social sciences,education discipline is responsible for cultivating academic talents and teaching and research personnel.It also undertakes the training of teachers for basic education and vocational education and the teaching and training of college teachers.In the new situation,it is of great significance to promote the education discipline to the world s popular list.Based on the above reasons,this paper selects five educational disciplines in the top 20 disciplines of the QS World University Education Discipline in the three years of 2015-2017 as the research object.These five disciplines are representative and can reflect the characteristics of the first-class education discipline to a certain extent.On this basis,the literature analysis method,text analysis method and historical research method are used to explore the characteristics of the selected five educational disciplines.Through the literature and texts,the authors have drawn the respective academic developments,academic traditions and representative figures of the five educational disciplines and their research achievements.Based on the above three parts,some characteristics of the five educational disciplines in the development of the discipline are summarized.Present the discipline characteristics of world-class education disciplines.Finally,through the analysis of the research findings,we put forward some views on the construction of education disciplines in China as a world-class education discipline.Specifically,the full text is composed of four parts.The first part explores the historical development of five world-class educational disciplines.It mainly involves major events and some people who promote the development of the discipline.The second part explores the academic traditions of world-class education disciplines,mainly through the training of students in related disciplines,scientific research,and social services.That is,the Columbia University education discipline that is flourishing for children's research;the Harvard University education discipline that breaks through the disciplines to achieve interdisciplinary development;the University of London's education discipline that emphasizes quantitative research methods to promote vertical research;and the University of Toronto education discipline from a multicultural perspective;The five disciplines of the Hong Kong University Education Discipline,which promotes the internationalization of education,are explored and analyzed in terms of student development and scientific research.The third part mainly discusses the representatives of various educational disciplines and their research achievements.This is the main research content of the four academic masters of education,including Meng Lu,Holmes,Connelly and Schaeffler.These scholars have promoted the development of their college to a certain extent.The last part is based on the first few parts of the world's leading educational disciplines.The five educational disciplines selected in this paper have different characteristics.Harvard University's education discipline emphasizes educational research to promote social well-being;the subject characteristics of the University of London's education discipline can be expressed by both quality and quantity;the University of Toronto education discipline pays great attention to the social equity nature of its subject development because of its national characteristics;The characteristics of the discipline of the integration of China and the West.At the same time,among these different characteristics,the characteristics common to the world's leading educational disciplines can also be explored.These disciplines have a profound history,a unique academic tradition,a world-class faculty and a strong push for social development.
