A Study On The Construction Of "World-class Disciplines" In Local Universities In The Midwest

The construction of "world-class disciplines" and the construction of "world-class universities" are also called "dual first-class" construction.Discipline as a basic element of a university,its development degree can reflect the university's educational level.Therefore,research on the construction of "world-class disciplines" is conducive to promoting the construction of "world-class universities",and then promote the process of building a strong country in my country's higher education.Local colleges and universities are an important part of my country's higher education system and a new force in my country's higher education construction.The construction of "double first-class" is a new development opportunity for local universities.Based on this,this research mainly uses the literature method,data statistics method and other research methods to conduct statistics and analysis on the first batch of "world-class discipline" construction universities and construction disciplines in the central and western local colleges and universities.It is found that among many local colleges and universities in the central and western regions,only 18 local colleges and universities entered the ranks of "world-class disciplines",and 30 disciplines became "world-class disciplines".This shows that the number of local universities in the Midwest selected as the first batch of "world-class disciplines" universities is very small.In addition,this study mainly analyzes the connotation and characteristics of the construction of the first batch of "world-class disciplines" in China.In addition,it also involves the reasons for the selection,achievements,and achievements of Henan University's biology department who were shortlisted for the construction of "world-class disciplines".The enlightenment and reference value of successful experience to other midwestern local colleges and universities are intended to make other midwestern local colleges and universities based on the construction of Henan University Biology Department to find a breakthrough and a starting point for the construction of colleges and universities that are shortlisted for "world-class disciplines".In view of the uncoordinated layout of "double first-class" colleges and universities,analyze the difficulties encountered in the discipline construction of local universities in the Midwest,such as unclear discipline positioning,unclear advantages and characteristics;unreasonable discipline team,weak teachers;insufficient funding,discipline construction Weak stamina;weak graduate student recruitment capacity,few doctoral indicators;subject evaluation difficulties,and so on,from the three levels of central government,local government,and local colleges and universities,to think,in order to allow more local universities in the Midwest to have the opportunity to enter the "world" The ranks of "first-class disciplines" and even "world-class universities".At the level of the central government: strengthen policy preference and resource subsidies for local universities in the Midwest;establish a talent management mechanism to guide the orderly flow of talents;establish and improve a discipline evaluation mechanism with Chinese characteristics.At the local government level: Strengthen the top-level design,actively guide the development of local universities' service-oriented disciplines;increase financial support to support local colleges and universities;provide system guarantees and reasonably guide the flow of talent.At the level of local colleges and universities: clarify the subject positioning and highlight the advantages of the subject;simultaneously promote education,innovate the introduction mechanism of the number of people,improve the level of the subject team;broaden the channels for raising funds and improve the ability to transform scientific research achievements...
