The environment is very important for the growth of human beings.The family home and school are both intrinsic to the development of students,as they are where students will spend most of their educational lives.Family and school are the foundations of the whole educational system;it is important that the two cooperate effectively in order to maximise the students' growth.The smooth and effective cooperation between families and schools depends on effective communication.In schools,the main responsibility falls upon the head teacher-it is they who must ensure effective communication with the parents of their students.This paper will examine the issues surrounding the communication between teachers and parents,discuss,and present solutions where necessary.The information presented here is gathered from questionnaires,interviews,and discussions with teachers from X DISTRICT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,and parents,in order to provide a detailed and balanced enquiry.Overall,the main issues regarding the communication between teachers and parents is that new teachers sometimes lack the initiative for effectual communication.What they tell the parents isn't nearly as comprehensive,accessible,or flexible to individual needs.People skills,as well as teaching skills,are invaluable to an effective teacher.New teachers need to establish trust with the parents: they must prove themselves not only to the students,but their parents,and this will ensure full cooperation from all parties.This communication needs to be critical where necessary,praisiing where necessary,and always continuous.Obviously,this is a two-way stream of communication,so this paper will also analyze the parents-to-school side of communication also.Communication between parents/guardians and the schools which their children attend is the cornerstone of modern education.This paper suggests young teachers improve the parents-to-school communication in the following areas.Learn from practice,tamp their professional level.Be sure to follow the rules of the communication.Build up mutual trust between home and school little by little.Have a pleasant communication to provide constructive advice.Keep following up and establish the follow-up feedback mechanism.As to school,it should strengthen the top guidance,teach communication experience,have communication training,enrich the ways of communication and establish regular communication mechanism.As a parent,they should learn more,understand each other more and build a harmony relationship.With continuous training and feedback,young teachers can expand their abilities tremendously,and-coupled with an openness and understanding on the side of parents/guardians-so will greatly benefit the students,and the parents/guardians trust and belief in these young teachers.
