The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that the people expect a better education and satisfy the people's demand for quality school education is the historical mission and responsibility of the school. As an important part of the "Healthy China" program, adolescents' physical health has always been highly valued by relevant departments. Many times in the programmatic documents,it is proposed to increase the health education of adolescents in school education.Physical exercise after school is a continuation and expansion of physical education classes. It can further develop young people's sports interests and hobbies, and form good exercise habits, thus ensuring a stronger body and a healthier body and mind. This is also an important content and means for the Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Education to advocate quality education requirements under the new conditions.Based on the domestic and international education policy orientation, the new requirements for adolescents to participate in physical exercise and the background of adolescents' special psychological development are proposed. This paper proposes two important influencing factors that affect adolescents' physical exercise behavior: external environment and self-efficacy.On the basis of the social ecological behavior model and the psychological behavior model, the literature analysis, interviews and questionnaires were used to summarize and construct the middle school students' environment-self-efficacyexercise behavior model, which was carried out in middle schools in some areas of Wuhan. The survey collected 481 valid questionnaires and used the methods of descriptive statistical analysis,non-parametric sample test, analysis of variance and structural equation model to verify and analyze the model, from individual level, family level, school level and community level.Investigate the influence of external environment on physical exercise behavior and test the mediating effect of self-efficacy.The main conclusions of the study are:Adolescents tend to have lower-intensity physical exercise activities. The physical exercise intensity of boys is generally higher than that of girls.Girls have more moderate and less intense exercise activities, but in the lower grades, this difference is smaller. The duration of physical exercise for adolescents is limited, and the proportion of health requirements for exercise needs to be improved. When adolescents are in the age-appropriate learning stage, their physical and psychological development is at an appropriate age, which helps to enhance self-confidence and improve self-efficacy in physical exercise behavior. The external environment directly promotes the physical exercise behavior of adolescents.Self-efficacy directly promotes the physical exercise behavior of adolescents.Self-efficacy plays a mediating role between the external environment and physical exercise behavior. The external environment can also indirectly promote adolescent physical exercise behavior through the influence of self-efficacy.Finally,it summarizes the current situation of adolescents participating in extracurricular physical exercise, analyzes the causes of problems, proposes solutions to problems, and provides a reliable theoretical basis and corresponding countermeasures for the future development of adolescent physical exercise.
