Higher vocational colleges are an important part of China's higher education system and one of the important components of social composition.With the rapid development of social economy as well as the culture,and the increasing demand for professional students in vocational colleges in different fields of society,the scale of vocational colleges has increased year by year.At the same time,with the increase in the number of students,in order to meet the daily needs of students and faculty,the supporting facilities around higher vocational colleges have gradually improved.The above lead to the surrounding population of higher vocational colleges to increase year by year,both in its density and mobility.The frequent occurrence of campus safety incidents due to the intensive personnel has increased the attention of all levels of society to campus safety.The national education department has launched a nationwide"safe campus" creation campaign to address this phenomenon.Seek an effective method to reduce the probability of emergencies in higher vocational colleges and reduce the adverse effects brought by emergencies in higher vocational colleges.China's economic level continues to develop,and the country's emphasis on vocational education is also increasing.With the expansion of student enrollment and other factors,the quality of students is obviously different.The phenomenon of supporting teaching resources and lagging teachers can easily lead to unexpected events in higher vocational colleges occur.Once emergencies occur in higher vocational colleges,it will inevitably have a negative impact on the normal life,teaching,and order between teachers and students.Besides that,it will even be detrimental to the school's building a good image in society and enhancing its reputation with Limitation of adverse consequences.Since the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,society has paid more and more attention to emergencies,and the construction process of "safe campuses" has been fully promoted.However,at present,higher vocational colleges is lack of the pre-prevention methodology as well as personnel and funds when dealing with emergencies.The investment is severely inadequate when emergencies happens.Some schools are still staying at the "civilian defense" and"physical defense" stages in evading campus emergencies,without effective early warning system,some of the schools are lack of weak crisis awareness,etc.when dealing with emergencies,For different types of emergencies,there is a lack of corresponding emergency plans.Therefore,tiredness often occurs,and campus emergencies cannot be resolved "quickly,accurately,and steadily";lack of healthy Accountability mechanisms when emergencies occur,rehabilitation and other aftercare measures,all of which may have adverse effects on schools and society.Therefore,it is the ultimate purpose of this thesis to explore effective ways to reduce the probability of emergencies in vocational colleges and reduce the adverse effects of emergencies in vocational colleges.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background and significance of emergencies in higher vocational colleges,as well as the research status at home and abroad.The measures and deficiencies of higher vocational colleges to deal with various emergencies were studied,based on crisis management theory,cognitive dissonance theory,and public governance theory,using case analysis,questionnaire survey,comparative analysis,literature analysis,interview method and other methods.In addition,the recent trend of the emergency of higher vocational colleges is analyzed through the comparison of relevant data.The innovation of this paper is that the author classifies and lists the emergency in higher vocational colleges according to the different causes in the actual work.At the same time,through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews with instructors and students in vocational colleges,we can understand the coping methods of higher vocational colleges when they dealing with campus emergency.And summarize their strengths and weaknesses.On this basis,summed up the experience of the higher vocational colleges to deal with emergencies.Put forward suggestions with a wide range of applications and strong operability to promote the comprehensive development of higher vocational colleges and further improve the ability of higher vocational colleges to respond to emergencies.Finally,the author analyzes the causes of emergencies in higher vocational colleges from both external and internal,and draws conclusions based on the analysis.According to the order of improving the prevention system in advance,strengthen the control ability during the incident,and improve the order of the post-processing strategy.Identify the issues that higher vocational colleges should pay attention to at different stages of emergencies and take reasonable measures.
