There is great theoretical and practical significance to study the application of Zeigarnik Effect in teaching Ideological and Political course of senior high school in order to face the new era developing situation of the Chinese high school education,and to promote the teaching reform and to give full play to the course in the role of cultivating students' morality.However,few people pay attention to and study the application of this theory from reviewing the current research status.Zeigarnik Effect was developed in the 1920 s by the Soviet psychologist Bubluma Zeigarnik.The theory refers to that people have deeper impression by the things what they haven't finished than by what they have done.When a task is not finished,people would keep a high level of attention on it.When the thing goes done,their brain would soon relax and forget it quickly.Based on the survey of the applying situation of Zeigarnik Effect in teaching of Ideological and Political course of Senior High School and the spirit and requirement in “2017 Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards of Senior High School ”(hereinafter referred to as the Standards),the results show that there are internal principles and basis of using the theory during the teaching process.In other words,using Zeigarnik Effect during the teaching process is necessary and feasible.The reasons of its necessity are that it is not only for fulfilling the objective need of the Standards(2017)but also to follow the laws of high school students' psychological development to further promote their comprehensive and personalized development.It's feasibility lies in that it can not only fit with the psychological characteristics of high school students,but also can effectively fit with the current spirit of the curriculum reform.According to the inner mechanism of Zeigarnik Effect,combining with the characteristics of high school Ideological and Political teaching and the law of psychosomatic development of high school students,the following methods can be adopted to apply the theory in the teaching process.The first one is Learning Force Lifting,the second is“Blank Art”,and the third is Leaving Suspense.
