At present,the art curriculum reform in primary and secondary schools in China attaches great importance to the developing and utilizing of local art curriculum resources.In Baogang No.8 middle school where the author works,half of the students are Mongolians,while the course teaching is seriously influenced by han culture.The Mongolian characteristic culture is not paid due attention to,which leads to Mongolian students' lack of understanding of their ethnic costumes and their patterns.Gradually they lose their love for them and the willing to inherit them.Thus the artistic features and social value of Mongolian apparel patterns are the treasure house of the development and utilization of art curriculum resources.Based on the status quo of art teaching in junior high school,this paper combines Mongolian apparel patterns with art teaching in junior school,and develops Mongolian apparel pattern into a rich art course in line with students' cognitive characteristics.The thesis is composed of an introduction and five more parts.The introduction mainly focuses on the background,significance,methods of the research and the status quo of correlating researches at home and abroad,their characteristics and innovative pursuit.The first part discusses the development history and humanistic spirit of Mongolian apparel patterns through literature research and field investigation.The second part discusses the social value of Mongolian apparel patterns from the aspects of culture,education and economy,as well as the artistic characteristics of Mongolian apparel patterns from the aspects of rich theme,organizational form and implied meaning.The third part discusses the significance of developing Mongolian apparel patterns as curriculum resources.The fourth part discusses the strategy of developing art curriculum resources based on the author's practical experience.The fifth part discusses the practice and reflection of developing Mongolian apparel pattern as art curriculum resources in local junior school through cases.In this thesis,Mongolian apparel patterns are combined with basic art teaching,and local characteristic resources are given full play.Through art courses in junior schools and the teaching.
