With the rapid development of information technology at the information age,information technology has profoundly impacted every aspect of people's life and work.Information technology also has a great effect on class management.Head teacher,as the master manager of a class,has a pivotal role in the education reform.Their application of information technology in class management,is of great value to study,as only when head teachers develop professional skills in applying information technology for class management,the role of information technology in improving China's class education can be well implemented.Thus the study of head teachers' application of information technology in class management is of critical significance for the modernization of education in our country.This paper mainly studies teacher's application of information technology to improve class management.The subject of study include Grade a high school head teachers,their students and student parents.The study analyzes the background,content,significance and current status in China and abroad for information technology's application in class management by head teachers.Through literature research,this paper provides the theoretical support and defines 1)the concepts of information technology and class management,2)the means of class management,3)the characteristics of class management with the application of information technology,and 4)the new requirements for class management with information technology.This paper also compares the differences in class management between information technology and traditional approach,and draw the characteristic features of class management with information technology.Furthermore,this paper conducts case studies and analyzes practical cases of head teachers' application of information technology in class management.Meanwhile,this study conducted questionnaire surveys and interviews,which allows detailed analysis of head teachers' application of information technology in improving multiple aspects of class management,including ideological education,class management,communication,and organization activities.Through the questionnaire surveys,a number of current issues are revealed in head teachers' application of information technology in class management,including fixed single approach,lack of content,and insufficient activities.Although the application of information technology has led to optimization of class management,it still has not efficiently resolved the fundamental issue of class management by head teachers.This is practically due to the lag-behind of head teachers' informationization concepts and skills,the lack of mechanisms of supervision and management,and so on.Finally,this paper proposes ways to improve head teachers' mastery of information technology,cultivate students'online virtue,promote teacher-student communication through network,carry out online education activities through applying information technology,and further improve head teachers' class management with information technology,and so on.This study should provide a valuable reference for modern class management by head teachers.
