Investigation And Research On The Status Quo Of Discipline Services Of Guangxi’s "First Class Discipline" Construction University Libraries

Subject services are proactive and specialized knowledge services centered around users.Following the proposal and implementation of the national "Double First Class" construction strategy,Guangxi has successively introduced two rounds of "First Class Discipline" construction plans,with the aim of coordinating and promoting the construction of first-class universities and disciplines in Guangxi’s universities,and comprehensively enhancing the disciplinary strength and level of Guangxi’s universities.In this context,subject services should become an important hub for libraries to actively connect with the construction of "first-class disciplines",and their highquality and in-depth knowledge services should be a strong support for the construction of "first-class disciplines" and the teaching and research of universities to reach a new level.In view of this,whether the discipline service of Guangxi’s "first-class discipline" construction university library has been matched up,what service content can be provided,whether it can meet the needs of current discipline development and construction,what problems still exist,what causes,how to deal with and further expand and deepen,etc.,become the problems that need to be understood and solved at the moment,and carrying out comprehensive research is the premise and basis for doing the above work well.The article selects 21 university libraries selected from Class A and Class B in the second round of "first-class discipline" construction plan in Guangxi as the research objects.Firstly,using network survey method,by browsing the library official websites of 21 "first-class discipline" construction universities in Guangxi,from the aspects of subject service column setting,subject resource navigation construction,subject service platform Provide a general understanding of the library’s disciplinary services from four aspects: building a team of subject librarians;Secondly,conduct a more in-depth investigation on the practice of discipline services in the libraries of six colleges and universities where the domestic and international advanced high-level disciplines(that is,first-class discipline A)have been built at the end of the construction period,comprehensively understand and grasp the discipline services in the libraries of sample colleges and universities in Guangxi,and analyze their existing problems and causes;Finally,on the basis of learning from the practical experience of "double first-class" construction of academic library discipline services,this paper puts forward strategic suggestions for the existing problems,so as to provide advice for Guangxi’s "first-class discipline" construction of academic library discipline services to keep up with the "first-class discipline" construction and constantly expand and deepen.
